Being Scottish I can empathise with the song though can't understand the lyrics, perhaps that's the beauty of tunes that touch you, they would lose too much in translation. The meaning will disappoint you believe me! He's singing about how he and the missus were furniture shopping and one of the other shoppers layed right down on him and got comfortable, mistaking him for a waterbed. THEN, adding insult to injury, they mistook his wife for a salesMAN. It's a very sad story, but I imagine somewhat embarasing for Iz, that is, if he can possibly be embarrassed by ANYTHING in public after showing everyone his fat ass in all of its glory. HA!

As the title says, Famous Kawaihae, with it's whispering sea, the ilima blossom, and you can gaze upon the majestic Mauna Kea. I love this song, because it shows his vocal range, some of his songs he sings a nice tenor, but his low baritone voice in this one, sung equally impressive. For people that criticize his weight, I for one think it helped with the resonnance in his sound. Like a Stradivarius is to violins, IZ is to human vocalists.

Tmhagen5---the first time i heard his voice it immediately lifted my spirits and just looking at him, he was such a beautiful sweet funny and loving person, so many people loved him. Bruddah IZ is my most favorite Hawaiian singer of all time. He was taken from us way before his time was up. Even though he had some health issues, he was a great singer.
