Mate I find the chord transition from the first and second note so tough! That's a bad sign for me lol. You make it look so easy, I love this song. How long did it take for you to work out?
@superflyflash1977 Hi Daniel, this one took a bit longer than usual, It's a substantial chord progression alright. If any bits give you trouble, just work out what chord you want and which melody note then try and find a different voicing for the chord :-)
Stunning as usual Mr. Murray. I'll buy the tab for this one to give me something great to focus on as I anxiously await (and check your website every day for) the tab for your incredible Unbreak My Heart. :)
ok no 1.....i play clasical guitar but i dont have the guts/experience to do the solo part with the bass line on the silk guitar you sir had my full respect....love this
I really enjoy listening to your music. Do you think you can do one with the joe cocker, you are so beautiful? I'm getting married in a few months and would love to have that as my processional song.
@ironmonger100 I actually had! Yes, I wasn't really into Queen, but like... six months ago, I really became a fan! But just when you think about it... When I was born, Freddy was already gone :( Have you ever heard them live?
This is absolulety perfect! I'm a big fan of Queen and 'Somebody to Love' is one of my favorite songs. I also play some guitar but this goes well over my head!! I'm curious though how long it took playing like this?
( I'm considering to stop playing after having seen this because i'm affraid this is not within my reach)
@misterdoublexx ..... Thanks for such a kind comment, I'm pleased you think I did justice to one of favourite songs. Queen songs are just so interesting to arrange on Classical guitar I think - I have a few others on here, and a couple more to upload soon, hope you'll look out for them. As for your question - I've been playing for 40 years nearly - but I gave up for 20 of those, didn't play between age 16 and 36! Thanks again.
Absolutely, totally, incredibly beautiful. Left me in tears for some reason - you made (what I believed to be) an already impossibly beautiful song into something more so; thank you. You are very, very gifted.
@diddlybuds Wow, thanks so much DiddlyBuds, I'm happy my playing moved you :-) ... I see from your channel notes you're a fan of Julie Andrews too - I have two Sound of Music songs on here, hope you can find a moment to check out my arrangements of them too. Thanks again
Finally found my way here, great arrangement! Well played, definately classical roots showing there. Audio tone was a bit hollow...maybe sweep the mids and boost the bass/treble to give it a bit more oomphf. Loved it though, about to surf some more of your Queen arrangements! :)
Wow that was amazing!!!! I'm so glad I happened to click on this video, you are so incredibly talented!! Fantastic! You have the best intonation I've seen yet on youtube. I find Queen songs difficult to capture in a 'toned-down' acoustic sort of way as every single note seems so important in conveying the feel of the song. You've done this so well and I've heard new facets and colours of the song that I've previously missed! Queen music has such a permanence don't you think? Every time I hear a song like this, there's something new to be heard! Kind regards.
@vinny2256 Thanks for such a generous comment Vinny ... yes, the credit is all the composer's .. those Queen songs dang near arrange themselves for solo guitar, they have so much substance. Only The Beatles songs come close, IMO. Glad you enjoyed it, hope you can find a moment to listen to my other Queen covers on here. Cheers, Shaun.

My goodness Shaun!!!!.... that was awesome!! Your playing really seems to have taken on a whole new dynatism!! Wow! ............. have you been down at the "Crossroads"?? :-)
Why are you telling him to make an arrangement of Opeth? Sheesh. First of all, if he doesn't listen to something off of Damnation, Coil, Benighted, Requiem, For Absent Friends, Harvest, Isolation Years, Atonement, Hours of Wealth, or Burden, he's immediately going to die. Especially at 3:17.
You are simply amazing.
You know what you should try making an arrangement out of?
Opeth. But their soft stuff.
You'd be able to play their stuff beautifully.
Like, Hope Leaves, or Face Of Melinda.
I have a list of soft songs but I don't want to annoy you. Lol.
Q2K2008 2 years ago

Why are you telling him to make an arrangement of Opeth? Sheesh. First of all, if he doesn't listen to something off of Damnation, Coil, Benighted, Requiem, For Absent Friends, Harvest, Isolation Years, Atonement, Hours of Wealth, or Burden, he's immediately going to die.
