I watch several different 'crocheters' I always seem to come back to geez not sure of her name, I enjoy her, she explains and makes it easy to understand, being I'm a 'monkey see- monkey do' kinda person, watching these video's are fantastic! ty for putting them up!
Thanks that was really helpful. I use to crochet years ago and are just getting back into it as I found this pattern for a groovey crocheted jacket I wanted to make, but have forgotten the stitches!
Beth, I just learned how to make a sc and a dc. I just could not figure it out but you made it so clear. Thanks Thanks and Thanks again. I have you on pause right now finishing my dc row going to make two of them. Cheryl
Thanks Beth!! I have a book to teach myself to crochet but I learn better by watching it done by others....I have a large hole when I get to the end of the row..why is that?
@31runescapepie no :) I think I remember hearing my teacher say that her son was one of her best students in embroidery class :D There's no rule that only girls can do it. Everybody should know it because (God forbid) it could happen that one day it might be your only way to earn money :-/ People (girls and boys) should know how to stitch, knit, crochet and even embroidery :D It helps at times in your life :D
This was wicked hard :( Around WHAT? Everyone says "wrap it around..." and they don't give explination...I still don't get it but I'm gonna move on a pray I do some day xD
@Rizuzua I agree. I'm in the same boat that you're in. For the past few years I coudln't get it right. When I saw this video, that's when I got it.
Also, there is another person on YouTube who does videos about crocheting. He is very good explainer and has THOUSANDS of videos. His channel name is Mikeyssmail. Just look that up and he should pop up. He does tutorials on the most basics to the most complex, and like I said, he explains well and he goes slow so one could grasp what he is doing.
I have followed my patern taken from Let's get crafting on crochet, do 10ch, work first dc in second ch from hook, work 1 dc in each of the next 7 ch, work 5 dc in last ch, working on opposite side of foundation ch, work 1 dc in each of next 7 ch, work 2 dc in last ch and join with a sl st in first dc (22 dc).
Well I watched a video on Dc and my patern is for Sc not Dc , but I worked Dc yesterday after work the above pattern But I still don't get 22 dc. what does the sl st mean can some one help
lols thank you ... i culdnt learn that stich at all form the book that i got it was very hard but you made it really easy so now the scarf im making for my friend is going alot faster thank you XD
I think I figured it out, though I don't really like the look of the yarn. It made it a bit unclear for me, I wasn't completely sure if the yarn had come unraveled or if it was a hook for a while. Though your explanation helped and now I just have to try it out.
thank you so much you were a big help!!
