"Stanley Kramer showed us what Americans could be when they lived up to their greatest values and highest ideals. He was an important and inspirational filmmaker who pulled great performances from so many great veteran and up and comming actors. He never had to rely on huge budgets to get his most important points across; that we could rise up to a greater level of purpose and being. What a credit to the art of film. Wonderful tribute. I had the great pleasure of spending some time with Mr. Kramer when we did the documentary on "Mad, Mad World" back in 1991. Truly, as one cast member put it "one of the nicest men in Hollywood"
