In part one, he says his brother looked up to him, but all he wanted was to be his younger brother....there was a bonding issue between him and his Mom, either he as incapable of feeling her love, or she didn't connect with him. He developed no empathy for people. I pray that he can be healed once he passes through the veil, and that he will have a second chance in Heaven to know and bond with his Mom.

I think this is amazing. What a great example of forgiveness and unconditional love. The father forgave him before he even knew it was his son. That is beautiful! Forgiveness is not only for the person who is forgiven but also for the one that forgives. It gives him freedom from hatred, anger and ideas of revenge. If only all of us could use such an amazing gift.

If they never are judged and punished growing up, and shown right from wrong...if parents make excuses for bad actions, I believe this is the end results. Dad forgave him in hopes that God will forgive Dad, too.

Even after his actions he suffers no "personal" consequences from those he attacked. Society had to punish instead.
