@WolfsHelm Because on Tutorial Island, most of the objects were updated with everything else because it was made using majority of the same models that were updated for the rest of Runescape. I don't think it was a "let's improve Tutorial Island" as much as it being a packaged deal.

omg. funny story actually lol. I spent 2 hours on tutorial island looking for the damn range! My friends told me that range was a skill so when i had to learn cooking, i was looking for a bow and arrow or something. Because I call them ovens LOL! So it took me an hour and a half of looking for a damn bow and arrow until a noob told me what a range was.

In a Jagex newsletter, one of the mods posted that Jagex might have new plans for Tutorial island in the form of a quest letting players go back to tutorial island.

@lemler33 I hope they do something because to be honest, they actually removed all accounts that were on the old tutorial island, and wiped any stats they had from it and just put them on the stupid new tutorial. So that is the end of the old tutorial island once and for all, atleast for now. :\

tutorial island is still available. depending on the age of which you register your account, it will put you either on tutorial island (say if your 13 or older) if below that age it will put you in the lumbridge tutorial, which is more indepth. the same goes for chat boxes, if below the age (once again of 13) you can only use quick chat Until the day of your registered 13th birthday.
