aloha! joanie can you teach me how to couponing? ive been watching & follow you on your site almost a month now. but i never try to purchase with coupon. can i enroll to your classes abouth couponing?
wow see now that is something that i really like. once i get started with this coupon thing i would love to do what you do and help others with what i have. LOVE this video and now i look up to you for that. beautiful heart, wish i could give more then 1 thumbs up.
besides getting coupons outta the sunday paper where can i get coupons??Imma go shopping for laundry sopa and stuff so if someones know comment on here please thanks
@shaunatorres Online coupons from smart source, red plum, coupon network, coupons . com, product specific websites, coupon clipping services, ebay, friends and family who get the sunday paper but don't use their coupons, some people even go dumpster diving at a paper recycling facility to get additional coupons.
Awesome, awesome, awesome. The giving back part has been an amazing bonus to couponing. I've never given much before because I didn't have it to give - So far I've given to our food bank and to a local women's shelter.
I pretty much never ever used a coupon in the super market but I bought a lot of stuff with the supermarket sales. As soon as I saw the TLC "Extreme Couponing" last week, I knew that I had to start collecting coupons. I would be happy saving 50% but if I can save 95% off or get free items, that is even better. If only they made coupons for gas!
Donating food is an excellent way to not let food go to waste. If I were an extreme couponer and my food was going to expire in the next few months I'd take it to where people needed it most.
I don't think I have the drive for it though, but it is nice that using coupons can benefit others in a great way. I read a comment that a man used coupon shopping to create care packages for US Troops.
I agree about the Food Bank comment. These places wouldn't have to primarily depend on food donations coming in when they could do much of their own shopping. Unless I am mistaken on how that works.
Would you be willing to make a video on how to make and set up your coupon binder? I watched you on TLC and I'm hooked! In the last two weeks i've saved d $30.00-$40.00 on my grocer bill but not good enough. I am scouring everything I can do learn more about how to become as skilled at this as you guys are.
If only the food banks would do the same with coupons as you, imagine how much MORE food they could bring in at almost no cost. They could feed a lot more families and no one would have to starve. Such a great idea! I'm going to start extreme couponing for my family and local food bank! Thank you KrazyCouponLady! You have truly inspired me!
LOL best parts of the video when she lifts her daughter onto the cart and wheels it in then when the toddler starts helping the gentleman with the cans. too cute
Many of us have been doing this for many years, I've been doing this myself for over 20 years. I share my stockpiles with friends & family free of charge also and donate to a local food pantry on a regular basis...it is all about not only saving money but sharing your goods with others as well, I am firm believer in that!!
Thanks for showing the donating part TLC should have done that!! That show was a little disappointing for the way they protrayed us couponers. The Hubby and I were amazed at how much you saved :)
(continued) The only thing you cannot do is use 2 manufacturer coupons on one item. This is what the "one coupon per purchase rule" is trying to prevent.
@mexicanboy92840 most coupons read "one coupon per purchase". These simply means that you can only use one coupon per each item purchased. If i purchase 10 items, I can use 10 coupons. The onl
Good for you! I was wondering how many of the extreme couponers donated to charity. I want to get started so I can save money and hopefully help others.
OMG! I just watched the show on TLC and was talking to my bf about it! and i was wondering if you also donate food since obviously youve got tons of it! haha i guess this answered my question! I wanted to watch the show again and I ended up on your website and i think its AMAZING! I definitely love what you do and THANKS alot for ALL the info on ur site! Couponing has become my new yrs resolution so Thanks for the Guidance! :)
I think what you are doing is so Awesome! you are teaching your children compassion for people who are struggling and need food to survive. The video of you and your little girl was so cute. So glad you made this video. Maybe it will convince people who don't have coupons to buy an extra bag of groceries and donate them to their local food pantry or church pantry. You are tithing and offering to the Lord, He will abundantly bless you and your family.
@browneyegirl0508 - OOP means 'out of pocket' - usually referring to the end amount you will have to pay. RR - as I know it, is 'Register Rewards'. I know our local Walgreens offers them. 'fillers' are usually small ticket items used to bring your total spent in that store up to the amount thaof your coupons. (also, Walgreens stores for instance, allow one coupon per item purchased, including RR's. Some times I have to buy 3 .25 items just to use 3 additional coupons. Hopefully this helps.
This is really cool! At first when i saw the show i thought it was crazy to spend all that time cutting and calculating coupons, but seeing how much you saved made me all excited. Then i thought, well what are you going to do with all those things that expire or that will last you a lifetime? And i see that your donating. I just want to say that your pretty awesome :)
@kanikki131 I can't agree more. Her coupon teaching business is FREE! how awesome is that? I think her motto should be, If you give a coupon to someone, you will have to do it always, but if you teach someone how to coupon, they will coupon for a lifetime. Lao Tzu - "Give a Man a Fish, Feed Him For a Day. Teach a Man to Fish, Feed Him For a Lifetime
I want to thank you for all you do. I am on food stamps and with your help we no longer run out of food money the last week of the month. Thank you for donating to food banks. They have helped us out a lot through our tight pinches.
This is a wonderful talent and fun this to do, and save money. Donating is always good. If you have this much spare time, giving away food to neighbors, why not start a business, i know someone will. you can take the food to the flea markets, sell it off, get money to pay off your next grocery bill, or sell the idea/talent-know how to people who don't know how and you can collect coupons for them and for a monthly fee, u will save them so much money.
I have a business! I run the website TheKrazyCouponLady & it's a full-time gig! I don't participate in or recommend reselling coupon merchandise, though I do let friends "shop" in my garage (I just don't charge). There is potential income for anyone who is willing to TEACH this skill. I teach free classes in my community occasionally. The best part about running my website is that I can offer it as a free resource to readers and I can still produces $ thru ads.
I love how you are showing just how awesome using coupons can be. Your an example that couponing can make a HUGE difference not just on your own table but for many many others as well. I just wish that the TLC Extreme Couponing show had aired a clip of you donating. Keep up the good work:)
LOVE IT!!! This is what it is all about. I help out my parents that live on a fixed income with all the wonderful deals I get from couponing!! Thanks again for all you do
i love how you give some back for people that need it the most cause some people forget they even have things and you just have to throw it away and your giving some back i think people should do that more often
