@warcrafter21 I pity you kid. really.....your life SUCKS,your knowledge about music is null..grow up, not only in age but mentaly too.. GTFO of here kid.
as soon as time travel is possible i'm gonna go back to my high school years in the early 90's and stay there. i wanna be there again. memories of hot summer nights, listening to hiphop shows on the radio, taping them onto cassettes. first joints, firs t drinks, first loves.sigh! peace from australia!
@applecrumping33 i appreciate that fam a lot of people these dayz just think hip hop i s wat plays today well i agree that it is rap but its not the spirit of hiphop it feels good to hear that come from another person in another country
It should be a requirement to take at least one demo track this ill into an A&R's office, when you try to get signed, or the A&R has the right to shoot you in the head. That would solve a lot of the problems in modern hip hop all at once, I say.
Whats up... i aint gonna come up here to tell what everyone says.. but i believe my tracks are real just like nas did it... I rap because of nas he inspired me when i was young.. so come check me out and subscribe thanx!!
Nas hasn't always had the best ear for beats. Its funny cus nas wanted this version on his cd along with the original version of represent, but both preemo and large pro remixed both to make them classics.
@ChetLinkton that's cuz Nas is Old school, imagine yourself as a MC of that era, what kinda music were you gonna like, this track is dope either way. I'm pretty sure a lot of people would have liked the song regardless of the beat changin.
True MC'in like this has basically disappeared in the wake of a 12-15-year wave of southern crunk and commercial snap, so this pure NY sound is a true relic. This track just can't be touched, and in my opinion is absolutely flawless. Nas is the illest, more complex than B.I.G. and much better flow than Pac. Somebody PLEASE bring this NY sound back onto the surface so that people can learn what real Hip Hop is...fuck that ELECTRO HOP BULLSHIT....word is bond dunn.
@Canali305 I feel you!!! Real talk!! Yo....go check out Juell Ortiz on Youtube and/or Amazon!! He is spitting something ridiculous!! He is a throwback to the Nas era!! Listen to how Juell 'attacks' the beat!! You should enjoy him!! But yeah, Nas is the BEST and that's not even a debatable issue!! He reps the streets 100%!! Peace!
this nigga said "you might as well be a singer but ain't harmin' Nas (Harmonize)...yea this version is lyrically rawer than the official version but he flows crazy on the album version. They both hot though
I agree with u 100% medmel. The illmatic version is awesome but this is just lyrically raw. Any1 whos heard this cant tell me that nas isnt the greatest ever.
OMFG..anyone has a audio copy of this, i looked on limewire and they have the illmatic version, def the best lyrically song i ever heard maybe the best rap song ever....OMFG
i think i've heard this before but i didn't really listen to this till now. Nas was a hip hop genius. he has soul about himself. i love the album version. i wrote part of my song called "Close Enough for Jazz" to this. you guys should check it out and tell me what you think of it. much luv
nas, one of the best to ever do it, this song speaks for itself, nas indeed prevails "your style is fake snake well dramatized, you might as well be a singer but ain't harmin nas" lol ill
