HI ALL YOU OLDIE FANS ,THIS SONG IS GREAT,WAS THE VERY 1st SONG I EVER HEARD BACK IN 1953 BEEN LISTENING EVER SINCE,THIS MUSIC WILL NEVER DIE........THANK YOU YOU TUBE
so . . . once again I ask . . . where are all the true true doo wop lovers . . . this is right there where we were . . . i was from west los angeles - and this was the one . . the one, i say . . what memories for me . . . keeps me young at heart.
i cannot believe there are no comments - this is one of the core songs of my teen years - does anyone remember the shoes the pachucas wore in the 50's they were called wedgies - two styles - teardrops and bunnies - the most popular colors were black , white - but they also came in pink
sure do what?? remember the teardrops and bunny shoes?? if you do . . thank you . . because no matter who i ask - nobody remembers, and they were great shoes. please reply in a little more detail how you remember these shos - thanks for remembering
Are you talking about the shoes from the 50's that came in either black leather, black suede, red or white? They had a 1 inch foam/ crepe sole and tied at the front into what looked like bunny ears. If so, they were my (and my friends) favorite shoe. The year was 1957 and also 1958. Everyone here in Chicago wore them but only one, old friend I know, remembers them. I've Googled them so many times and only found one person.. I would give anything to see a pic of that shoe.
i'm so excited . . . you are close, but not quite right-on it . . . you say Chicago, 1957 and also 1958. the years are right, and the 1 inch foam/crepe sole (we called them wedgies) i was from West Los Angeles, CA - I recall ours only came in (not real leather) they were either white, black, light pink, or a light blue. I am Mexican-American. We liked the white or black teardrops, and the bunnies too. You slipped your foot into these ( no tying) ,
@desertfwr hi, i call myself doowopdani. i love this music, you say your from W.L.A. ..im from and still live in VENICE, CA i remember the bunnie shoes...
