This Coates march sounds very much like the 1950s pop song "I'll Never Stop Loving You." That song had a tempo change, of course. But too coincidental, eh what , olde chaps. :) So listen to Doris Day sing "I'll Never Stop Loving You" from the movie "Love Me or Leave Me."

I produced a version of this in many languages many years ago with the words from a hymn sung in many languages! We used a local Prize Brass Band and an entire school!

Yes he was English, but some of us Coates' moved to Canada but he is still my great uncle :)

I always thought that Eric Coates was English but I see you are in Canada. This is one of my favourite Coates compositions. The other is 'Jealous Lover' or the Theme from' The Apartment' 1960 starring Jack Lemmon and Shirley McClaine.
