It is quite refershing to hear a young player that actually has a sense of well structured melodic solo playing, like he is actually playing the instrument instead of practicing arpeggios.

My favourites this week are, Gary Moore, Paul Gilbert, Brian May, Peter Green, Walter Trout, Micheal Schenker and sooo many moore. Another great tip is play along to your favourite CDs, can there be a better way than practically jamming with the greats? most importantly have fun, because after all what could be more fun than playing the electric guitar?
@hospitalhunting yeah it shouldnt cause any problems. the reason i do it is to take a little tension out of the strings, this makes for easy bending! just make sure you tailpiece is cranked right the way down to the body, this improves sustain. Rock n Roll
Sam I have that same (wrap over) stringing on my les paul but the tailpiece is tilting forward a little will this cause damage to my guitar? do ya know?

How often do you change strings, would you avoid sweating i.e. caffeine, moist palms? Sometimes I think my strings get a bit abrasive which makes my calluses die quick

You remind me of a guy I use to jam with some 30 years ago in California. he was from Texas.He had the real clean distinctive blues riffs as you do. Use to drive me insane with how he could walk up and down the fret board an just flow so easily just as you do... You made that song your own. Great job man!

hey sam, could ya give me your specs for those nailbombs i am going to purchase a calibrated set myself. also when you installed these pickups did you change the pots and capacitors or just use the originals that were in the guitar. thanks for the help and keep up the great work. ps could ya do a cover of purple haze ( jimmy hendrix) cheers rock and roll.

hey sam thanks for the reply just one more question for ya m8 those bare knuckle pick ups you use the nailbombs do ya recommend those i have been reading up on them and also watching your vids and they sound awesome. was just wondering if they are versitile enough to cover a wide range of tones for various styles of music. my fav bands would be ac/dc , pearl jam, metallica, black sabbath , guns and roses , and others.

@billygrfc1690 Hey man, thanks for the comment. My best beginner tip is listen to good guitar players and they will rub off on you! My favourites this week are, Gary Moore, Paul Gilbert, Brian May, Peter Green, Walter Trout, Micheal Schenker and sooo many moore. Another great tip is play along to your favourite CDs, can there be a better way than practically jamming with the greats? most importantly have fun, because after all what could be more fun than playing the electric guitar?

Sam I have that same (wrap over) stringing on my les paul but the tailpiece is tilting forward a little will this cause damage to my guitar?

@hospitalhunting yeah it shouldnt cause any problems. the reason i do it is to take a little tension out of the strings, this makes for easy bending! just make sure you tailpiece is cranked right the way down to the body, this improves sustain. Rock n Roll

Sam, great stuff that we are now getting quite use to......
I think that the "Les Paul" sound suits your playing best............ really full and seems to capture your "feel" slightly better than your other axes (though you have MANY!)
