Actually, I'm studying for the bar exam right now. Smoking helps me sleep, and it's much better for you than the garbage the pharmaceutical companies put out. That stuff killed Heath Ledger. Weed never killed anyone.
It's also cheaper than drinking, and there's no hangover. Healthier too. And you don't pick fights.
It probably wasn't illegal in the 19th because it hadn't really gotten to the United States yet. Nobody in the States knew about it, so there was no reason to make it illegal.

they were illegal a while ago but so many people with ....your* mindset brought that up and made the court overturn the amendment....in other words...their still not good for you however so many people use them thats its pretty much futile to do anything about... where marijuana on the other hand... only dumbass people who think its cool are the users,you remind me of a madd assembly at my school where they were stating the death facts from underage driking and driving and people wanted to argue

Tobacco was never illegal, and Prohibition was overturned by the 21st Amendment, not any "court," and it was legal before that.
Marijuana wasn't illegal until the beginning of the 20th Century.
I must say, though, I DO smoke weed because it makes me cool. That is why I smoke it. My dealer has weed that makes me cooler than anyone else.

Actually, I'm studying for the bar exam right now. Smoking helps me sleep, and it's much better for you than the garbage the pharmaceutical companies put out. That stuff killed Heath Ledger. Weed never killed anyone.
It's also cheaper than drinking, and there's no hangover. Healthier too. And you don't pick fights.
It probably wasn't illegal in the 19th because it hadn't really gotten to the United States yet. Nobody in the States knew about it, so there was no reason to make it illegal.

exactly.... the reason it makes you sleep better is because its messing with your brain....and the other 2 reasons i could tell you were talking out of your ass because if you were addicted to a certain illegal drug and didnt get if as much as you would like then i think you would get a little pissed off and violent too....

It's obvious that you have never smoked marijuana and know absolutely nothing about it so let me fill you in. Marijuana was made illegal by the bigots who run this country because they associated it with minorities. Marijuana does not make you violent and neither do the withdraws because they don't exist. If you have stopped using marijuana recently then yes you could be irritable but nothing near the irrational anger and aggression of a drunk.

the worst thing is, that not even 10 percent of the people in the world know that alkohol or tobacco are drugs too and see it on this view that illegal drugs could be "safer"
cannabis should really be legalized, cause it is not even half as dangerous as alcohol

It's not an excuse, it's pointing out the idiocy behind our drug war. Chemicals are chemicals, and to say the ones that come rolled in filters and liquid are ok, and the ones in powder or crystal form are bad is moronic. Legalizing reduces the destruction they are causing to our communities. Now we have shootings in our street because of drugs. When was the last time you heard of a shooting over Moonshine on the corner of a street? During prohibition that happened, and it was all too common.
