  • Yesterday I saw them live, and I was on acid trip. It was totally mindblowing! I wasn't on the audience, I was the music!

  • Complex yet easy listening... Trippy yet serious stuff... I LOVE IT!!!

  • @DanH2aol this is a great recording of them live. Is this a download, or do you have this on DVD, and if you do then were did you get it?

  • I first experienced the Ozric Tentacles in the early 90's when they blew my mind away; like a modern psychedelic version of Hawkwind. A combination of seeing Hawkwind at Reading, experiencing Glastonbury & seeing Ozric Tentacles in Birmingham, have galvanized my love of the band!

    Jonny TromBassathan

    ;-)

  • my mind just blew up

  • increible! sencillamente increible! buenisima banda, pues que decir ha darle seguimiento

  • must...not...comment...

    ah shit I just did...

  • whaaat the fuuucck!

this is what I've been waiting for my whole life..

  • what is this music called? is it psychedelic rock? or just indie? ive no idea, pls tell me

  • @alexander161192 It fits into a very broad category of progressive rock that many people break down into progressive psychedelic. A quote from the Gibraltar Encyclopaedia of Progressive Rock has this to say, "Ozric Tentacles is generally regarded as one of the best things to happen to progressive/psychedelic rock in recent years."

  • @alexander161192 space rock

  • @alexander161192 This kind of music is called. (Psychedelic) Space Rock because it can be compared to psychedelic art and psychedelicness:D

    :D

  • @alexander161192

Yeah, Psychedelic Rock....Space Rock.....any of those are as good as the next....but there again, why label it? It's just g'damn good stuff. :)

  • @slitheen Check out "Direwolf" its a solo project from the guitarist in "Behold The Arctopus..."

  • i fuckin loved that !

  • free light show with a purchase of ozric tentacles

  • as an avid ozrics fan i hope no one is offended when i say the the only thing missing is a front man/woman/alien/beast/inanimate object xx

  • its called acid take enough to discover the realms of eternity and this is what happens, amazing :-)

  • @shippoisdabest haha your totaly right about that! :)

  • who's the girl at the bass??

  • @Autumnmaker brandi wynne ;)

  • world is a big mushroom, eat it!

  • So happy Pandora brought this group up, this is amazing.

  • Hey Dan, you have 'The Floor's Too Far Away posted on the info. Chewier is off 'Spirals In Hyperspace'.

  • Ed Wynne is in tune with the universe and that's the only way how to produce a great music like this. Beautiful mathematics.

  • I never heard of this band until today... what a treasure, indeed.

  • Comment removed

  • Bloody good but I'm afraid I still prefer early Hawkwind and gong (up to about '75)

  • One of the best bands you've never heard of.

  • great memorys for me way back to 89 in southend.

  • Good video. First saw the Ozrics in '85 in Reading at a free gig. Obviously influenced by Gong esp. Steve Hillage (one of the greats) who has also collaborated with them. Keep 'em coming!

  • Great Tune, saw them in 92, 95, 97, 99, 2002, 2005 and in 2009 yes Ed Wynne is a great guitar player. The Ozrics are great.. If they are in your neighborhood, Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Amazing band-one of a kind. I saw them at B.B. King's in NYC last summer and my brain expanded. I spoke with a couple of them and they are very cool people, too.

  • amazing

  • Mrs. Ozric is so beautiful. geez, this music radiates KUNDALINI SHAKTI

    om tat sat

  • great

  • i love this band i remember way back in day when there early stuff was only on cassette so in reverence ive put me ozrics trump cards on ebay for you all.

  • fuckin incredible band

  • What's the song they do that starts off with the sound of seagulls? The lead guitar is the best ever in that one!

  • wow :O ..... more fantastic than dream theater xD !!... naaa but is the same style and sound great .. :D!

  • i really wouldn't say it's the same style at all, but music is music. bravooooooooo

  • Dude are you tripping? They are poles apart.Dream theatre are guitar orientated high pitched vocal stuff...,Ozrics go with whatever suits the song.Strings,keyboard,flute,bass...etc,

  • The British can make some Psychedelic rock. Much better then the Americans. I got to see these fellows in West Virginia, US a few years back. Best band at the whole festival and they only got to start the show off on Thursday. Lame, maybe it's because Trey Anastasio was there that year and he was afraid. He should have been. Dude, used an electronic drum machine during his show. What!? I would think a real drummer is in order...

  • The Play Music, with imagination, the are really Good

  • They play Between the Past and the Future.Best

  • I just saw these guys in Durango, CO. Excellent show! They really astonished me.

  • Everybody who digs Ozric should check out Steve Hillage. I 'm sure he was a big influence on them

  • @dullsvillain Yup, he and Miquette even guested on "Spirals In Hyperspace', as a matter of fact.

  • @dharmaseed

    Thanks , that's very cool

  • is that billy corgan in the front row?

  • Ed Wynne is a million times better musician than Vai.

  • as much as i love Vai's music, i think you're right, he's probably a better person too :))

  • Just saw the Ozrics last nite in Asheville. North Carolina. They totally kicked butt with this new lineup. I can always tell when I've seen a great show when i'm even more excited about it the next day! (or days in this case)

  • Man this is the shit! I love this band and have

For many years. I can't believe how few people have ever heard of them. They're the trippiest band I've ever heard but what the fuck do I know? Right you tube?, you motherfuckers.....

  • sound better than ever here.

  • fucking masterful

  • drums are so tight in this one - I did not here anything so precise in years. And live! Not even Petrucci sounds so tight, I swear...Something about these guys that is very special on almost every song - I can't yeat put my finger on it...they are fantastic

  • This is my first Ozric Tentacles experience, I am speechless...

  • As am I...so many great bands hidden. The fruits of my labor searching are rewarding however!

  • Couldn't agree more. I'm not a computer fan but I can't help spending hours browsing You tube. It's a goldmine! And this song... THIS SONG!!!

  • LISTEN to Michael Tsarion on the youtube. He is a very comprehensive conspiracy researcher/lecturer/author. Leo Zagamni and Dr. Bill Deagle are also cognizant that today the 13th is a lucky day that MIGHT involve the exposure of the catholic empires crimes against humanity.

  • @isa238 Check out the Waterfall Cities and Hidden Step albums. Fantastic stuff

  • @isa238 same here dude...same here...

  • These guys are just so fucking good.

  • mitici

  • I know Ozrics now, thank`s to Mike Portnoy of D.Theater.

Ozric Tentacles is a fantastic band.......aerospacialmusic i say.)

  • The Ozrics are fanfuckingtastic!

Also, thanks to them i got to hear Porcupine tree as they supported the Ozrics back in 95 i think.

  • Is the bassist a girl?

  • No is a guy and his name is Vinny Shillito

  • Nope, That's Brandi, Ed's wife. not a dude.

  • saw them in newcastle uni mind bending

  • It's impossible for me to say which Ozrics song is my favorite, but this is a good place to start a nice surf through the Psychic Chasm to Erpland on an Invisible Carpet I think I shall visit the Domes of G'Bal along the way

  • Never drive,while listening to this song..it's really dangerous...believe me..:p

  • I masturbate everyday.

  • Estupendo grupo, gran pieza musical.

  • Saw these guys years back in NYC and they were AMAZING! It's one thing to pull of such ambitious stuff in the Studio-but to do what they do live is just mindbending.

  • Espero te guste Susana xd. Nice DreamTrip

  • Espero te guste Susana xd. Nice DreamTrip

  • I agree with most of you, this is really noise mascarading as music. These guys suck ass

  • Ha looks like someone has no imagination.

    Anyways, the song is awesome.

  • Was that Billy Corgan at 1:56?

  • No, it's RightSaidFred..

  • If you're serious, arkizzle77, thanks. It's been in the back of my mind since I saw this. That makes more sense than Corgan, I guess, even though he is more of a "guitar guy".

  • No, I'm not serious at all. t was just a crappy bald-guy joke. Sorry fella :)

    Also, definitely not Billy Corgan.

  • Right Said Fred is probably the funniest bald-guy choice for a joke, so I don't blame you there, buster ;} Maybe they just chose to cut some random bald guy that had no significance at all.

  • Wow I was at this - Hawkwind The heads Brant bjork and the bros Ozric tentacles - I travelled from Dublin for it - fuckin hell it was heaven

  • saw the ozrics back in the 80's... it's all a bit hazy now... or was it purple haze?... oh i dunno... good stuff though... the ozrics...

  • crazy song. one of their most 'heavy'.

  • Like a cross between Hawkwind and Gentle Giant. Makes me want to do acid again for the first time in twenty years...

  • Haha!!

They were the band that 'inspired' me to take drugs!

I dont know if inspired is the right word........... But I remember seeing them in a shit hole of a pub in Finsbury Park, London over 20 years ago, where everyone in the whole place was smoking zoots including the band, who had about a weeks supply of ready rolled spliffs on the amps and cabs.

Happy days.........It's been downhill ever since, hahah!

  • ozric's wife is so hot...

  • WICKED!!!

  • saw them live a few years ago they were amazing though the place the concert was was horrible. it was ozric and lotus playing

  • Hello from Russell,

    also, how is Steve?

  • Every Ozric track sounds the same; I should know because I've got 10 of their albums!

  • if that's a complaint then your comment is pretty ironic

  • I´m agree , but i like it ... Good Comment

  • Love them to bits, nearly went to see them with the magic mushroom band supporting in Sheffield in the late 80s, was too wasted to go, really regret it now. All the best you stoned ravers

  • One of my the favourites too!!

  • Fuck I still hate myself for not going to the only concert they made here in costa rica (once in a lifetime wasted)

  • I feel sorry for you. I mean it.

  • I second that.

  • I have discovered them recently as well and they are my fav band now. I like them even better than Led Zep :D Awesome, original performance, a music worth listening to. The very first moment I listened to them, it was love at first sight :)

  • I recently discovered the Ozrics, and am totally in love with this band! SO my question is, are they still around? Or are they on hiatus or something, their website is out-of-date so I dunno. Anyway, I have 29 albums of theirs to go through, so I'm good with that, but I'd like to see them live if they still tour.

  • Yeah, they're still going. I'm pretty sure. And, congrats, you get to listen to OT for the first time, it's truly an inspiring moment.

  • I saw them twice... once in Italy and once in New York..... I have hundreds of records ... I lived in London between 1971 and 1974 but I discovered them just 3 years ago... shame on me!! Amazing band.... amazing musicians... The could eat the PINK FLOYD in a bowl of salad!!!

  • they are my new facourite band, they are incredible

  • Opening melody sounds a lot like children of Bodom's new tune Tie my Rope

  • This tune is from the album "Spirals in hyperspace" (2003), a masterpiece of space rock. The Ozrics are one of the best things in these world.

  • yer wha? acid's redundant with these guys so much as tuning up..

    great post thanks

  • Saw them when i was on four micro dots, would highly recommend it - mind bending. Pungent Efluent is my fave album.

  • haha I used to listen to them when I would trip out in high school. good times good tunes
