Whether or not this is a "sufi" dance, it doesn't change the fact that there are many sufis that practice a similar type of dancing, sort of in a rhythmic repetitive pattern that leads to ecstacy that according to their deviant beliefs is a way of getting close to Allah (SWT) when there is absolutely no basis in the Quran and Sunnah. May Allah (SWT) guide these people to siraat-ul mustaqeem.
It is simply understood in the difference between Classical Sufism as practiced by Imam Ghazali, Imam Haddad etc from older times and the Naqshbani, Chishti and the other two orders in contemporary times. It can be called Islamic Spirituality.
The other is folk sufism an example of which you see in this video. It is not bound by the Shariah (The Islamic Law and Command.) I live in Lahore myself and this man I think is Pappu Sayeen. He has come to my university to perform as well. He has a gathering every Thursday I think where everyone smokes up, he plays the dhol with his partner and they do the whirling dance. I do not see it as a part of Islam. Because the messages contradict.

If they do claim to be Sufis then that is a mere claim because Sufism is nothing more than a science of Islam from Islam and within Islam, anything outside of the Qur'an and Sunna CANNOT be termed as Sufism. Whether or not this is a "sufi" dance, it doesn't change the fact that there are many sufis that practice a similar type of dancing, sort of in a rhythmic repetitive pattern that leads to ecstacy that according to their deviant beliefs is a way of getting close to Allah (SWT) when there is absolutely no basis in the Quran and Sunnah. May Allah (SWT) guide these people to siraat-ul mustaqeem.

It is simply understood in the difference between Classical Sufism as practiced by Imam Ghazali, Imam Haddad etc from older times and the Naqshbani, Chishti and the other two orders in contemporary times. It can be called Islamic Spirituality.

The other is folk sufism an example of which you see in this video. It is not bound by the Shariah (The Islamic Law and Command.) I live in Lahore myself and this man I think is Pappu Sayeen. He has come to my university to perform as well. He has a gathering every Thursday I think where everyone smokes up, he plays the dhol with his partner and they do the whirling dance. I do not see it as a part of Islam. Because the messages contradict.

The latter people are very easy and open about everything. I will give you an example of how strict the classical Sufis were. In many cases far more strict then other scholars and religious men. In a writing I read from one of them, the Sufi would not stand under the shade of the wall of a man who had taken a loan from him because he felt it may be an act of using the man considering that he owed him.

They seem to be Hindus to me. If they do claim to be Sufis then that is a mere claim because Sufism is nothing more than a science of Islam from Islam and within Islam, anything outside of the Qur'an and Sunna CANNOT be termed as Sufism. This is not permitted in Islam and is therefore not Sufism. Remember that some Hindus revere Sufi saints and worship them and in fact copy and exaggerate certain Sufi traditions and innovations.
