Heh, I believe my actual words were "pointless". Within minutes of testing the patch wolves were released, I knew it was fruitless yet everyone kept insisting otherwise. With the advent of 1.7 changes, Notch made sure it was beyond pointless to bother with wolf sheering. But that's fine. Putting some finishing touches on a modular for sheep and cows anyhow :)

ive made this place underground.. 24 is the ceiling and about 29-32 is the bottem.. i made a spawning pad like urs up the top and nothing seems to spawn much.. maybe a chicken here and there.

@suspekt121 Well, make sure to have at least 120 in all directions with material friendly mobs are not able to spawn on. I use water, etho uses wool. Make sure to kill the mobs you spawn quickly, especially the chicken. They take up spots for new mobs to spawn.

doc as the pistons are going to come out in 1.7 you might need slimeballs to make sticky pistons so could you make a slime farm just for preperation! i hawe a tip fill in any holes or caves that are 15 blocks and under and just make a big room with some lighting! they tend to spwn even in light just not too much light! you need to fill in the rooms not light them cuz theyll spwn in light too!

@TheXDT Well, I have done some research and spaning slimes is possible. BUT as you said, this will be an insane project because filling out all caves in an 275x275 area bellow level 15 is crazy. It will be an insae amount of work if I try to do it and it will be really hard to locate all caves since the gravel trick doesn´t work anymore.

you should automate the whole process a bit more.. why dont you do a collection area or something so all of the loot goes to one spot? you could use water streams and do it a few blocks underground so they dont get in your way.. not complicated or brilliant but useful. :) btw comments in english or german?

Just a little tip if you want in some daylight in the cave, you could just make a little pillar with glass straight through the water, and that alows light in :)

I think wolfs can attack sheep through doors. So you could try having doors at the back of the drowning device and have the wolfs stored behind the doors.
