High-end Steinberger owners have fellowship with the most advanced electric guitar in terms of design, intonation, pure tone from lowest to highest notes, stability, and clarity in the history of the electric guitar. Allan Holdsworth and Steve Howe are fellow subcribers.
How do you reckon that's not a real 12-string? Because it doesn't have a headstock? It's got 12 strings--it must be a real 12-string, eh? Anyway he sure sounds good on it.
@jfinester Yeah, he's one of my favourite guitarists and has been for about 40 years now. Seems to be able to play just about any sort of music at a very high level. I was probably being too much of a traditionalist in my comment. With all the reverb and chorus the Steinberger sounded very much like an electric 6-stringer put through an fx array to my ears. Still want one though!!!
@benjaminshinobi it was an interview and the series was called 'be careful with that axe' it was hear on youtube the whole thing until it got taken down not sure why
@guitarreilly Thanks, yeah I'm not offended by videos being taken down for whatever copyright reasons, but put it out on DVD or something. I'LL PAY FOR IT

The 12-string IS worth it. It is all I play. Steve is right.

I would pay a lot of money to sit with Steve in his studio while he lays down some music.

can't believe he reckons this thing is as good as a real 12-string. Maybe he needed the money for the endorsement
