Oh, does anyone know Japanese and wouldn't mind translating what the reporters are saying? At least half the time, American reporters are irritating when it comes to MJ, but this seems cute! ^_^
@CrimsonOkami As far as I could understand, well, upon hearing the news that MJ will be coming on this place, the people and the reporters were very much excited to see him. Upon arriving aroung 10pm at Big Camera shop, he got inside the shop for almost 3 hrs. and the people together with the reporters patiently waited, one of the cameramen had the chance of taking a closer view of MJ and it was great for them....Japanese peole really love MJ...
@Grace091871 Thank you so much, that's so cool! Ha ha, I love how everyone's like *SQUEE* it's Michael! And I guess everyone was like that around him, but other countries seem to have shown Michael far more respect and loyalty than the US has in recent years, so that's why I love watching clips like these. And to me, it seems like the more reserved culture of Japan is well suited to Michael's personality, so it seems to make sense in many ways why he he's so loved there. ^_^
This is rather tame compared to when he came to London. Over here the crowds went wild as well as the media. They swamped Michael when he went to see a theatre show. I can't think of any other american entertainer today who can generate that kind of hysteria, not even Madonna or Brittney.
Bikku Kamera isn't even that special of a shop. The folks in Japan are especially culty and fetishist when it comes to those considered "famous." It's interesting to see celebrities here in the US just go about their business without people bothering them. Jackson needed this kind of hot air to buoy his somewhat flaccid reputation during this era.

The Japanese act a little weird around celebrities. MJ definitely plays it up, though.
