Since the Fed isn't part of the federal government the US government could default on the treasuries that the Fed bought while paying our other debtors. Once the Fed is gone the US government can begin printing "new" US dollars. Think about that and what the ramifications might be.

Do you consider it possible that the dollars lost through reduction in real estate prices, bankruptcies and a possible (I'd say probable) fall in the Dow could balance out or be even greater than the dollars created through QE. This is no defence of the Federal Reserve system, the bailout of Wall St. or inexorable drift to Facism in the US. My gut tells me the deflationary forces will soon prevail, and possibly dwarf the QE. . Either way it's a mess,

I have pressure canned 1.5 yrs of meats and roast beef and beef stew and chilli. We have 2.5 yrs of food storage, and still go to the LDS for large amounts of wheat berries.. We use theBig Berkey Every day. We have a small garden, till we get to some land we have. The Non Hybrid seeds are being saved!! Have no debt but small mortage and we have good jobs, till the collpase, I guess. I have many medical supplies and the skills!
