Very bluesy and reminds of Jim Morrison & the Doors and the late 1960s sound but with a contemporary alternative rock beat! Great Vocals! & Guitar playing!
Cool. Not sure how I got it though. The stage could pass for "The Jewish Mother" in Va. Beach. Also like the Guilds. Excellent gits in the day. Love my old D35.
I got some pretty significant personal history that happened at Mill Valley---this brings back some great memories...thanks for sharing! Great and emotional tune...!
Great tune and makes me ever so thankful for the dozens of memorable nights at The Sweetwater! Long live the original Sweetwater, Village Music, Ali Baba Cafe, Sleeping Lady Cafe and other great Marin venues!!
very nice song, i think its listen original, i dont know who sends it to me but im glad anyway, thanks for share it, if its possible send me something else, greatings from mexico
Man! I must be mellowing out in my age, I actually enjoyed this. In the 1990's, if you wasnt plugged in or on Much or MTV I would not give it any attention. Good job guys, sounds like you got yourself a future.
@moufasfoumas why does it always have to be a GUY? I've played harmonica for 15 years and I know there aren't that many women harp players but all this "find a GUY" stuff in the music industry really is beginning to get under my skin!- think I'll write a song about it with a nice long harmonica solo in it! this girl's got more blues in her little pinky finger than most men I've encountered.
Bass and drums are rock solid...singing is a dream. Did I hear the guy on the fat Gibbo type thing trying to introduce a Led Zeppelin heavenly stairway at 2'20"? Dear me. What was I thinking?.Were they thinking he was a Steve Stills type. A good noise though....and he plays a Guild!!!
It's a good tune and title. Nice harmonies and talented musicians who really mastered their instruments including their vocals. Thanks for sharing even if I have no clue where Sweetwater's is or how I got on your list...
I would have liked if the lead guitarist were a bit louder though.
While this is not the music I listen to (check my page and you'll see) it's still not bad. The song is strong and has a vibe (IMO) somewhere between Neil Young, Tom Petty and Tenacious D.
That is not meant as an insult, just so we're all on the same page.
LOL!
I'd probably see these guys live but I'd have to be in the right mood for something this mellow.
Don't know how you got my name, but this old rocker appreciates this. Good old rock band, even with a stand up bass. You just don't see that anymore, except in Bluegrass. Good job guys.
Yes, the Sweetwater was one of the last of a dying breed of amazing clubs in the Bay Area- most started 66-67, and included the Matrix (Sf) New Orleans House, Blind Lemon, and Freight and Salvage (Berkeley) the Ark (Sausalito). I saw some of the most amazing music of my life in those clubs, but now it's pretty much dead (and not Grateful).
