law and order regularly takes actual cases from the headlines and base shows off of them. the guy who shot up the church in north carolina was influenced by bill oreilly and bernie goldberg. george tiller was killed by a righty after incessant ramblings by fox news labeling him as a baby killer. the man who shot up the holocaust museum stated he was afraid of beck's fictional fema camps and that the fed govt would take his guns away. these are all actual cases.
