  • Wonderful playing. He shows how his close friend and mentor Jennie Tourel (St Petersburg, Russia, mezzo-soprano diva at the Metropolitan Opera 1943-47) influenced his singing aproach to playing the bass. It is great to be reminded of the musicality that is possible on the bass.
