That's because you have to say the password to the journal perfectly if you want to get into it... :

they don't want your little sibling sneaking into it because what if they know the password? but they can't say it the same way as you! If you still cant get in, open up the batterie holder in the back and push the reset button to reset your password!!!

Or you could just use a tiny digital voice recorder, or the voice recorder on your iPod.

It isn't if you have a good tactic, like when I bought mine today, I use my phone, my voice recorder, and I use that recording every time I wanna open the journal and it TOTALLY works. Let me say this, give Girl Tech one more chance. Buy the 2010 version, and if you have a cell phone that has voice recorder, USE IT. If it doesn't, oh well.

it aint a rip off! i have one just like that! but it's purple and pink! i todally love it!! if you can't remeber ur password, just take one of the batteries out and put it back in and it will let you reset ur password! and u dont have to say it the EXACT same way. my step brother can even get into it with his regular voice, but saying my password! i think it's cool! it's just an opinion! no offense :D

I know! One time I was at my cousin's house and My cousin and I wrote secret's we know about someone. Then her brother was coming in. We tried to shut the light. But it didn't work, then he took it, read the stuff, closed the journal, then she said the password, it didn't work. (A year later) I watched her try to say the password and it didn't work.(She did it like 60 times a day.) Then she said "I'm tired of you!" She shouted and throw it in the garage.
