Most of this ride probably wouldn't have excited me much as a kid but I would've loved the Rainbow Caverns. Sounds like a real achievement. Out of all the attraction, it's the biggest shame that part of it was removed for a roller coaster.
Just thought of something else... I always liked to make this my first attraction of the day. Everything else could wait! I liked the morning sun on the landscape. And I was amazed you could be so close to the powerful waterfalls and not really get that wet.
In the former Bear River section, where you can still see some fish jump, the water is packed with crawdads! (Live) When were they introduced?

This was always my favorite attraction as a kid... So happy to revisit it! (No, I didn't just dream it!) :)
Aren't the tortoises, rattlesnakes, opossoms, bobcats, and coyotes the same ones you whiz by now on Big Thunder roller coaster?

The jumping fish at 2:55 is still there jumping. Just across from the entrance to big Thunder.
The level of the pond is now a few inches higher so it's hard to spot, but still there jumping none-the-less.
