There´s something I really love in this song... probably strings at 1:45 f.e. .. gosh, so harmonic and that tremolo... oh my.. shiver down on spine... so perfect!!! Hm, I'm a DM fan and was curious how recoil sounds. I have to admid, I'm not convinced from that kind of music, it's Jazz, isn't it? Whereas DM remained a Synthie-pop band. So I guess it's good that Alan left DM, because it's just a different kind of music. For this reason I'didn't asses this video. I'm just glad that Alan obviously found his way and also still has a lot of faithful fans. DM and Alan Wilder will NEVER rejoin, but this is not a reason to shed a tear in my opinion.

there is a very wide variety of style and instrumentation on recoil tracks. alan wilder is a producer, and it's the compositions and production that define the style more than anything. the one thing you could say about recoil is that it often heavily involves spoken word

Yeah, I agree the reasons why Alan left, DM and was a wise choice, althought his mates knew how important was his job for the band they never gave him any support. If they were more united they would try to convince Alan to stay, giving friendly warmth in such difficult times, but there was not reaction at all, and they didn´t care, regardless the fantastic job he made for the band... I still wonder how would sound a couple DM albums after SOFAD with Alan still in there,

Alan said during an interview posted on the Recoil website that even if there were no support or problems with the other members that he would still leave cuz he really had no intentions of staying in a pop band forever cuz making pop music wasn't his forte. He also said that he'd prefer to be his own boss & work by himself. So, either way, us DM fans are screwed!! But Alan's new project is AWESOME!!!

Amazing song, and the video`s really cool. I actually SAW IT ON MTV at like 2 in the morning on "alternative nation" (what an idiotic name for a program on Mtv). Unbelievable! Recoil on Mtv. Recoil and Mtv is like... two words you don`t put together in a sentence and they actually played the song. I was thrilled and shocked...
