Dave Brown was LEGIT pissed, but Scott wasn't aware of it until they got in the back. Scott was just trying to get heel heat and was unaware he was getting heel heat with the wrong guy...lol.

I was a big fan of Scott Bowden back in the day because he really could get heat. He seemed at home cutting a heel promo and was a natural. Nice guy, too, btw.

Wrestling is fake, folks. What Scott did was called "drawing heat" from the crowd. Then the "face" or the victim of this outrageous attack on retarded people, Randy Hales, is supposed to rush in (once Dave cuts the mic) to tackle Scott over the table and blow the whole studio out. Absolutely planned, practiced, rehearsed and FAKE.

...But highly entertaining. Good job, fellas. Scott made everyone hate him and cheer for Randy Hales. Dave played a key role by being outraged. Worked like a charm.

@ChannelExtreme I am telling you what happened because I was there that day. Scott stepped way over Dave Brown's line, and Dave absolutely had the last word. As far as practiced and rehearsed? Absolutely not. A show's shot sheet or "rundown" might state "Randy runs out" but just as often it was spontaneous, especially with Randy Hale involved. Even having a rundown in front of me, I was clueless where the action would break out. Good times!

@ChannelExtreme Another example that hopefully someone will remember or have footage: Mr. Coffee and Lawler had so much trouble with Randy that they told him not to come back. 3 weeks later he shows up at the backdoorduring the show, disheveled, unshaved, shirt like he slept in it, demanding his job back. During a break they talked for 1 min, then had the rest of the negotiation live on the air. Kicked out of his trailer, broke, it was all real and on live TV. The one and only Memphis wrestling.

I worked as a cameraman on TV5 wrestling during the USWA/Powerpro years and let me tell you Dave Brown isn't kidding at all. Half the audience in the studio is special needs/handicapped and Dave loved those loyal fans. Dave cuts him off but Randy is the man to take care of business! Just one of many, many times when the events you see live in the studio are not faked or rehearsed in anyway.

@nitrousn2o The crowd there that day clearly wasn't special needs. As USWA went on the crowd become increasingly, well, yeah, you can hear them. It wasn't the crowds of kids and old folks that it had been before.
