@Zhou424 Exactly. I've been trying this general 3 gate build vs "very hard" AI. I can easily beat P or Z, but after 15 consecutive losses against terran, I'm doubting the usefulness of this build versus Terrans... The MM pressure is just too much for this basic 3-gate to handle > 10 minutes.

so I wrote that comment like 4 months ago when I was probably gold or silver, but now as a diamond toss I can say that 3 gate expo does work on the condition that your unit composition is perfect and your opponent is not going for an all in. It really comes down to forcefields and using chrono in the right places. If you want I can probably find you a better replay.

@001820063 and 1 or 2 force fields splits them or plain can stall an early offensive anyone (except early blink stalkers or tunneling claw roaches) from entering up your ramp or choke preventing econ damage long enough to get out the robotics or just plain more units/cannons. to hold off the incoming attack. (the only thing Op about terran is Marines with equal if not more dps than Battlecruisers and maybe thors while stimmed. for only 50 minerals... <- that just isnt right.)

Video games are not a sport, and people who spend massive amounts of time playing them are seen as no life bums (sorry for the harshness). In other words, its entertainment and nothing else. This is coming from a past game developer/programmer (trust me, I love them as much as the next guy).

High Templars require a significant investment in resources and time. That, and storms are not as good as they were in SC. I would say that Protoss (on the whole) don't have it easy in Tier 1, especially versus Terrans. I mean, it gets said time and again that Gateway units alone don't cut it. Consider why.

My potential answers?

1) No response to stim (esp. when used with conc. shells)

2) Marauders. Or, see 1. In reverse, for Protoss it's zealot charge not being sufficient.

Demuslim's build is sick, and it's almost exactly what I use. Early PDD really destroys Toss. That's what made the lost unit count so unbalanced in the early game.

Also, Husky, I like VARIETY. I mostly wanna see the most high level games you can find, but a little bit of variety here and there, including some of your own games, spices up your channel a bit.
