to all scooby fans, I have owned both a 2006 wrx and a 08 mustang v6 and when I would count all the factors up, I like the stang better. the only thing the wrx would win on is acceleration off the line, but for every day the mustang is very comfy, a little better gas milage, and the interior is 10x better from quality and design. If I wanted a car simply for fun then subie , but for every day the mustang wins. in fact I am going to get a 2012 v6 soon. they are different cars but both great

The only thing I didn't like was the motor seemed to be a little "rev happy" it didn't have the very low end torque of the old 4.0 but it loved being way up there in the 5k plus rpm range. amazing motor and set up though, when driving it I would have never guessed it was a live rear axle if I didn't already know..the new one out handeled my wrx and out ran it ( even off the line)
by the way - why did you choose the Jerico DR4 4 speed manual transmission over a C4 3 speed transmission w/ manual valve body (for example) ? any reason or did you simply want a actual manual transmission ?

That's because they are so desperate to sell their cars they practically give them away. Don't get me wrong. I'm a huge car guy and love American cars with massive V8 engines. Just in terms of practicality AND performance all around, you are MUCH better off with a Subaru.
A v6 mustang is nowhere near the fastest car for 20 thousand. For that sort of money you can get a cobalt SS which will dominate your girlie V6 in every way possible.

That's because they are so desperate to sell their cars they practically give them away. Don't get me wrong. I'm a huge car guy and love American cars with massive V8 engines. Just in terms of practicality AND performance all around, you are MUCH better off with a Subaru.

It's pretty well-known that good drag racing cars = 95.95% pile of money put on top of the car + 0.05% driver input/ (maybe 1% if it's manual but who the hell can't upshift and keep the steering wheel straight?)
