  • Thnx for tha info but I have a question..my closet is about 5'x5'x7' nd I have 32 of tha auralex studiofoams tht are 1'x1' each..is it necessary to cover the whole closet or can I just spread out the squares evenly around tha walls??

  • Mattress foam is NOT a sound insulator-it does little to NOTHING and can even hurt the recording itself. These blankets are just about the cheapest way to "treat" room acoustics "effectively". If you're serious about making good mixes or tracking audio, do it right. It doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg but expect to leave a good sized dent in your wallet-trust me the end result is worth it.

  • @Thesis651 Well said! Thanks for your comment.

  • how is this cheep this is a very expensive way to get the job done

  • YOU CAN BUY BLANKETS JUST LIKE THIS SHIT AT ALMOST ANY STORE LIKE WAL-MART BUT ALSO YOU CAN GET REALLY CHEAP MATTRESS FOAM!

  • @trippro187 Who would want something that's not going to get the job done? Using Audimute Sheets, you'll notice an impressive difference, guaranteed! Feel free to give a call. Happy to discuss with you why our sheets are more effective than normal everyday "blankets" found at Walmart!

  • @trippro187 A Boston reporter named Jeff Dederian did an expose on the hazards of really cheap mattress foam, but failed to take his own advice when he and his brother had their nightclub lined with packing foam. Google "station nightclub fire" if you don't know what happened next. Whatever your budget, get something that won't get you killed.

  • i need something really really cheap just to cut off the sound of my voice because my mom sleep next room and i cant talk at night :( ..any ideas? thanks

  • @RiKKuXd28 A layer of 1/2" drywall on offset 1X3s, the gap filled in with clay cat litter would be really really cheap, safe and blocks just about any frequency. But it won't damp reflection the way the stuff in this video would, so it's only good for blocking transmission THROUGH the wall, which might be all you need.

  • can you use this foam on ceilings for a basement? also can it be cut to be used in different sized areas?

  • You can staple or nail gun this product to the ceiling. You can also cut these to size if you wish, but we recommend sewing the product up so the filling doesn't come out. It can get pretty messy.

Please call so we can discuss further! I'd be happy to help!

  • a bedspread will also do it!

  • I am not going to turn my room in a coco nest for crazy poeple.

  • question, is a standard wood wall or a concrete wall better to use as a foundation for laying sound foam on? and why.

  • You want to use what is thicker and in this case, Concrete would work better for isolation because it is thicker than a wood wall. Please call for more details or visit our website. 866 505 6883 You can easily check out our Peacemaker Installation guide on our website for more information.

  • I'm planning to soundproof a garage for my band. It's got thick concrete walls and a concrete roof which is covered by a aliminium roof thing. I was planning to spend a bit of money to cover all the walls in rock wool, go over the rock wool in these sound absorbtion sheets. Would spending time and money doing this really reduce the sound considerably or would I be wasting my time and money with a little or no reduction in volume?

  • Could you demonstrate how well they work? Perhaps play your drums in the room, and then record outside of the room. Just saying how it works doesn't mean much, showing how it works means a lot more, especially when your product looks like a bed comforter.

  • Absolutely. Thank you for your feedback. We will be implementing new videos very soon! Stay Tuned!

  • do u have any agents selling ur products in singapore or malaysia?

  • Unfortunately, we do not have any agents in your country. We will be happy to ship there! Thanks.

  • is shipping free to all parts of the world?

  • Unfortunately not. Free shipping is only located in the USA. Hope to serve you soon!

  • Hi I was just wondering what kind of nails you would use to pin up the sheets? would plastic head nails be a good option to stop the sound passing through the nail?

  • Check out our newly posted video of a customer's sound booth project. This small sound booth was completed with less than $200 investment in sound absorption material (including shipping!)

  • How much would all this coast like for a small vocal booth

  • Check out our newly posted video of a customer's sound booth project. This small sound booth was completed with less than $200 of product(this included shipping.)

  • 200? I can make a cheap vocal booth out of carpets way cheaper then that

  • Carpet does not provide the equivalent sound absorption of our product. Without any acoustic material behind, wall carpet will probably only achieve an NRC of .20.

Audimute Sound Absorption Sheets have been tested in an acoustic lab, and have an NRC rating of .70. Big difference!

  • you have panels up, but you voice still echos...thats a bad sign...

  • You are so right, there is still some reverb and echo in the space...the Absorption sheets are only used in the space we recorded the video as a display - only 2 small sheets are hung behind. That is not adequate for proper acoustics. Thanks for the pointer - next video will be done in a room that has been treated properly.

  • I have a question. I want to play drums in my room and i dont want to disturb my family..what product should i use to soundproof my room..

  • Audimute Sound Absorption Sheets will remove mid, high and some low frequency in your room. I recommend double layering for drummers. Audimute Absorption Sheets reduce volume levels by as much as 60%. Call to discuss. We can help. 866-505-6883

  • This is a sound absorption product. If you are interested in s a sound insulation/barrier as well, our Peacemaker flexible sound barrier is available for soundproofing your space.

  • You need to really soundproof your room, and you dont do that with absorbers

  • Then why we being told to use absorbers by audimute?

  • becouse they wanna sell ;) at least i think. If you want I can send you my email, just send me a PM

    /Cheers

  • Soundproofing with Audimute Sound Absorption Sheets is really easy. Hang them such that are exposed directly to the sound source and that is pretty much it. Most of your mids and highs will be gone! Some lows may persist, but we make Peacemaker for low freqency isolation. Audimute is as effective as Aurlex or any other high end Acoustic sound treatment but for about 70% less. Call our experts first to ensure a good fit for your sound application. Glad to help 866-505-6883 toll free.

  • I want to put drums in my room, and be able to play them without annoying everyone else in my house (We all live on the second floor, but Grandma's deaf downstairs.) How much of the noise will these things take in and how much/little will I need? Can this be done with these sheets?

  • Audimute Sound Absorption Sheets would be the least expensive option and remove mid, high and some low frequency in your room. I recommend double layering for drummers, like myself. Results: You'll hear yourslef better (perfect your chops), save your hearing, and reduce sound overall. The low freq. may cause structural vibration, the big concern as this type of isolation is expensive (more mass required etc,) to isolate completely. Call to discuss. We can help. 866-505-6883 Mitch

  • Thanks for the help man. I'll definately look into those things when I get my drums. I just wanted to be sure it would be possible to have them in my room.

    Thanks again.

  • So I can just hang the sheet on my wall?

  • Yes, the room can be treated by placing sound absorption sheets on the walls in the room. Give us a call and we'll help us figure out how much product you will need to properly treat your space.
