  • I just love this song, origa has such a beautiful voice

  • It's neither japanese or russian.. its a made-up language.

  • Sorta sounds Portuguese

  • its russian duhh not jap

  • Comment removed

  • Sounds like the gaelic in the song sinead o connors one more day

  • its a fantasy language.but at 2:39 its japanese.at the beginning it sounds like kind of gaelic language.

  • The song is sung in Gablish, which I believe is a language Yoko Kanno has made up. Made up or not, the song is still amazing.

  • Enough with the language speculation.... it's made up! The third and fourth versus are the only ones I can say certain are Japanese (at least mostly, I'm only a beginner). Yoko Kano has her own collection of Latin-French-Italian sounding words and syllables, she used them first in the Escaflowne anime/film to make it sound more enchanting, epic, and mythical.

  • @heero171 Dumbass it's russian

  • Comment removed

  • @RoyalEmma3CP true so true russian not jap there dum

  • @RoyalEmma3CP I fucking hate weaboos, I live in a Russian speaking community, have Russian immigrant friends...this isn't Russian you moron.

  • whoaa... what font is this?

  • There is a site called gugalyrics that has the full song there. I do actually see a little bit of Latin and definitely Japanese at the end, but some of the words in there could definitely be her own.

  • @vault687 i think its actually french my dear friend

  • @danberner I don't really see any French words in there... Because of this stupid 500 character limit, it won't allow me to paste the whole song here ;(

  • i love origas vocals instead of gabriela robin...

guess im a die hard origa fan XD

  • are you sure all of it is made up? I could have sworn that some of it is japanese...

  • Супер!!!

  • Say what?????? The whole song was gibberish???? O.O My goodness, Origa and Yoko have done it again! :D

  • Best to just think of this as an emotion in sonic form.

  • I almost cried while listening to this for some reason. I've never heard it before. I've gotta start watching Gundam!

  • la la looo la la looooooo (8) <3 i LOVE IT

  • 7 people have no ears D:

  • Yoko Kanno and Origa prove once again that music can be so powerful, that words can be meaningless but still sound perfectly right... This is absolutely beautiful!

I am irrevocably in love with both of them, and have been since the first time I heard the Origa's vocals and Kanno-sensei's composition in "Inner universe" from GITS.

  • So, let me get this straight, this is not an actual language, but an aria of nonsense words? How disappointing.

  • @biped19 Language has meaning only when we assign meaning to it. Just because you do not understand the words does not mean it has no meaning. Oral and written language are just two forms of communication. Music, pictures, gestures are three others.

When a bear raises his body, bears his teeth, and growls at you, you need not speak bear - his message is clear!

  • @aikyu999 and what did "the bear" in the song tell you? Because if it's not the same thing that he told me, then it's just ruins the whole your theory.

  • I definetly LOVE the version from Origa of this song!!! <3

  • Wonderful!

  • 1:49 is priceless.

  • Absolutely breathtaking...when I next deploy, this song is going with me and shall be the rhythm I march to - for if I am struck down, this is the song I want to be listening to or, at the very least have on my mind, when I meet the eternal One.

  • I like the softer tone of the anime version a little better, but goddamn . . . Origa has some pipes on her, don't she?

  • This version sounds fierce and joyful :] I like both versions though, they each give a different feeling to the lyrics.

  • The best music for the best anime...

  • @Ogudomon I couldn't agree whit you more. best anime and best music in anime.

  • love it...wow its amazing..

  • what language is this

  • I think cyrillic.

  • Cyrillic is an alphabet not a language right o-o?

  • I always thought it was a language...lemme check on Wikipedia...

    You're right, it's an alphabet ^^;

  • @Skyenets Cyrillic is an alphabet used by Slavic languages, and several non slavic languages.

  • @Krindol Yeah I'm pretty well aware of that already o-o'

  • It's a made-up language. Search on here for anything by "Gabriela Robin", and you'll here more of the same.

  • yea i like her version bettr.

  • i love this song and origa performs it, i just love it more then ever the song is unbelievable and she kann sing it so beatiful

  • It really does make you think of an ancient, timeless lunar city. Silver spires and crystal domes...even if the real one was entirely subterranean. XD

    It's perfect.

  • beautiful song it heals the heart....

  • beatiful women with beutiful voice!

  • this song sounds better live =)

  • totally agreed =)

  • never played the game before ( think was recommended because I like FF music)

anyways this shit is nice : )~

  • 気持ちが安らぎますね(笑)

  • this song has a very war-like feel to it; it's powerful.

  • it can just evoke so much emotion in it! evoke, that's the word, right?

  • @ihatetungsten It does have a very war-like feeling. That was the very feeling I felt when I heard this song.

  • Don't forget there's also Aki Okui version. I still like Origa version the best though.

  • the studio version of this is atrociously arranged, much prefer this the choir and strings not to mention that drum line in the chorus just lift it to a whole new level . . . funny thing 'bout Yoko she does amazing writing but a lot of the time she stoops down to that J poppy arrangement . . . it torments me when she ruins her own song . . . this is good though

  • I still prefer the original, origa's voice doesn't sound like it goes with the song. That and her voice seems to crack in places.

  • I thought Origa's fit with the song went pretty damn well. Honestly though, I don't believe her voice cracks, it's just her style.

  • that's true, the cracks you're hearing in her voice are purposeful.

  • 感動しました。

    涙出てきた・・・。(T T)

  • THIS VERSION IS JUST AMAZING JUST TONS TIMES BETTER THAN GABRIELLA'S she's got a really talented voice! I love the huge instrumentation in this one.....

origa and yoko kanno make a really good team

    thanks for the video

  • this is amazing.i just feeld great when i heard for first time this song.the voise sound victorios

  • this track made me fall for Kihel Heim/Diana while watching the series n now makes me fall for her. i cant help it cause of the fact that she IS beautiful as her voice.

  • do you know where origa's version of the osng is? Is there an album which has her version on insted of Gabriela Robin's?

  • This version is in the Turn-A Gundam Concert CD. But it's only a live version, no studio recording.

  • I like the voice of Ol'ga Vitalevna Yakovleva (ORIGA) more. Se somehow manages to add more power to the song. This is also superb but it is ... how to put it .... too pretty. I like the song more with some OOMPH. There is nothing wrong with this version.

  • the differnce between this and Gabriela Robin? this is live, the words are not as soft and are more rushed in places, that is to say her la la's are closer together. I guess thats why some think its less tragic and more dramtic in other word just beautiful and not so sad. I agree, her La la loo's sound victorious, as in vctory is enevitable and not like a painful death defying unsure strugle.

  • well she has to make the song hers not just copy the original. If she did that might as well gotten a radion and put a cd in it

  • Oh my god..she is beautifull!!!

  • dame i love this woman!

  • This is better than an original.

I am a Japanese, but her inexperienced Japanese has an effect whether Japanese seems to be a very beautiful language

  • I agree. But this is more dramatic, but im fine with that!!!! Origa does a dramatic good job in most of her songs!~

  • wot the hell are u lot on about! its a great song!

  • "dramatic" and "tragic" aren't synonymous. Dramatic means that there is conflict or contrast, where as Tragic specifically implies sadness/sorrow.

  • Sorry, I was just musing on the etymological irony. Drama is often opposed to comedy and is an actual synonym of tragedy in many languages, so I never thought I'd actually see "dramatic" and "tragic" *opposed* in a sentence. That said, I acknowledge "dramatic" as synonymous of "expressive", and appropriately describing Origa's singing.

  • WOWO!!!!!! Good job lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would never thought that out! ha ha yes i agree with u

  • Gibberish language?

It's sound beautiful. From 2:44 it's Japanese, isnt it?

  • Sounds more dramatic than Robin's version, but Robin's sounds far, far more tragic. I like them both.

  • "Sounds more dramatic than Robin's version, but Robin's sounds far, far more tragic." Hm, aren't drama and tragedy synonyms? Then what's the difference between the two versions, really? ^_^

  • its in russen

  • Origa is very beautifull

  • I love Origa:)

  • Japanese is a very beautiful language.

  • It's "gibberish".

  • Actually, the lyrics here are not a real language. But yes, Japanese is a beautiful language :)

  • it's actuallly russian

  • @mikes6vids

Do you mean that she is just singing non exsisting words?

    Just made up ones?

  • @nickjonasbigfan Yes, it's a language invented by her

  • @mikes6vids The third and fourth verses are definitely in Japanese... the chorus and rest of the song are probably made up.

  • Comment removed

  • @mikes6vids thought it's latin..? wrong?

  • @MichaelLV99

    Russian

  • @mikes6vids I thought it was like Russian/Latin/Japanese. Or is that just the Ghost in the Shell openings?

  • @mikes6vids I think it's either a variety of different languages, or romanian :)

  • @GoldenZipangu28 it is beautiful but unfortunatly this song is sung in a language known as gabish

  • The first time I heard this song, it literally moved me to tears. Every time I listen to this I can feel such emotion from her voice, she's purely a musical genius.

  • well the song is from the turn-a-gundam series! so try there!!

  • It's Gabriela Robin, single L. So enough nit picking, Gabriela is not an Italian singer, her Japanese is perfect and all other languages she sings are in bad accent. No one knows if she's Kanno but it's safe to assume so :D

  • Ive been trying to get my hands on this song but I can't seem to download it any place, ive tried a lot of psp programs and nothing, any suggestion?

  • the original one is in the Turn a Gundam soundtrack....wich u can get in ghDOTffshrineDOTorg try and move on from there

  • thank you ^^

  • I love Gabriela Robin's voice. It's so sweet and peaceful sounding.

  • but it's Origa's live performance... >_>

  • gabriella robin is an italian singer

  • This song reminded me for "Voice", the ending song in Macross PLus and also composed by Yoko Kanno!

  • Oriaga sing in Russian right?

  • she is russian but i think she may sing in more than one language because i heard spanish in "electra's song" and ive also heard some english. i just dont know for sure.

  • Yeah, but like hotj said, she uses many different languages.

  • She uses russian, latin, english, and italian. the spanish you guys heard was acutally italian.

  • lol benejeserit Yoko Kanno does not sing, she composes and Origa sings it.

  • well, that's a bit of a mystery. there's another version of moon, sung by Gabriela (sp?) Robin, which many suspect is simply a pseudonym for Yoko Kanno herself.

  • What an incredible voice she has...She's sounds so simular to Yoko Kano, too. Amazing.

  • Gabreilla is Yoko's psedo name.Everyone in anime industry and Yoko fans know this.

  • That's spelled as "Gabriela".

  • hmm ya i had my suspections about that since they seemed close <_<

  • wow so thats how origa looks like i think im in love~! i love this song even before i saw turn a gundam and i really had this impression the story would somehow have a Hayao Miyazaki-ish feel to it.

all in all i like turn a better than seed destiny

  • How did you get those pictures without the text or frames on them?

  • I'm a Photoshop user for many years now. Haha :D

  • I love love Origa's voice but I like when Yoko sings this song better.

  • gabrielle robin actually sings it not yoko lol but yeah i agree her voice is softer making the mood more capturing :)

  • gabriela* lol sorry... typo :)

  • some people say there the same person and its on wiki, not sure if its true though.

  • every once in a while, a flower blossoms that is beyond comparison to the rest.

i'm a little red anemone bud compared to this in-bloom rose of a lady!!!

  • hey wait! someone told me gabriela originally sings it n yoko kanno composed it. confused~

  • A composer writes down the notes of the composition, an arranger assigns the instruments to play the music, the singer is the one who the arranger chose for vocals. In this song, Kanno is both composer and arranger, the vocalist is Origa, the original recorded vocalist is Gabriela.

  • oh wait-- i think yoko kanno sings it better. much more soothing =P

  • yeah, they've got their points. Kanno sings it more soothing for when you want to relax, and Origa sings it with more emotion for when you want to be moved... for me at least.

  • gabriel sings better

  • If you want her music from the anime type in Galbadia Hotel into your browser. It works!

  • Hey anybody know if there is an mp3 for this song? If so, could you please send me a link? Thank you. ^o^

    Also, Origa's AWESOME! X3

  • i know! i didnt mean it like that! im just saying that a majority of people listen to that rap/hip hop garbage! rock and country is a little bit better than rap, but its starting to get old.

  • Yes, it is saddening that how the media is crap is a reality. Oh well, at least a few people have found decent music like Origa's.

  • Dear god that was perfection.

  • You are so right.

  • I know I just posted something but I forgot to mention one thing. GOD, ORIGA'S VOICE IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!

  • My personal view is that her voice makes the goddess's cry.

I have a different version of this song, but i don't think it's her. Still excruciatingly beautiful tho.

  • The different version of this song is by Gabriela Robin. I like Origa's version better, theres more kick to it.

  • YEAH! Her voice has the... emotion, opera-(but better than opera quality)-esque style, and other little bits that words fail me in describing in it! and i had downloaded my version from a myspace profile.

  • The last time I checked on myspace, all they had was Gabriela's version.

  • thanks. do you know anywhere where I could download the Origa version?

  • In google, type in "galbadia hotel" . That website has a ton of anime music and it has the album of this concert on there. Look for "Turn A Gundam - The Concert"

  • thanks! i'll have to ask my sister if i can download it on her computer. (only computer that i can download on -_-)

    thank you very much!

  • Rap and pop is what the American society wants to hear. They like stuff about violence, sex, drugs and crime. But turn their heads to anything that is decent in music. Thats what I hate about American music. I refuse to listen to just what the society wants me to listen to.

  • uhhh dude we dont only listen to rap/pop. in fact i hate it. i listen to rock all the way, as well as a lot of americans. dont talk about U.S. if you dont know anything about it.

  • uh dude. rap and pop is not all we listen to. a lot of americans listen to rock/country/tech and non mainstream music too you know. get your facts straight. thanks.

  • 'Tis just the garbage that the U.S. media

churns out to the world - They only care

about a quick buck. There plenty of Americans

that listen to such beautiful music as Origa's. Generalizing like that is awfully childish. Sadly, the decent people in America are the same without a "voice." As that is

the case, I can understand if you hadn't

    realized it.

  • You're not alone, and that's african rap culture that you're talking about, I agree with you completly.

  • thats true. Her voice is great and yet people like britney spears is admired...it a shame. It shows were societys minds lie.

  • Who admires Britney Spears anymore?? The one and only thing I like about our pop culture is that it never lasts long. The people who make it quick like Britney Spears get a few years and then burn out and die, as they should. It's easy to spot the real talent in this country. All the musicians who are not on MTV but keep putting out albums, year after year, decade after decade. It's the same thing for the fans of crap pop. They get into this fad for a few years and then grow a brain and move on.

  • It's not society's fault. You think we enjoy being treated like children? Problem is the media. It's easier for them to cater to this week's pop star than anything else. Same thing with 24 hour news. They only have a hundred thousand viewers, the people that like hearing the same garbage over and over again. They could try to have real news, but the people interested in that have lives and can't watch news 24 hours a day. So they keep showing garbage for the few garbage loving viewers they have.

  • hmmm..yes,

    it's unfortunate but that's reality.

wow, the comments in here are so serious,

    first time I encounter this..

  • Shame that those with voices like Origa's are relatively unknown, while those of certain pop tarts flood the airwaves with their crap.

  • has anyone seen gabriela b4?

  • I love Origa, but I like Gabriela Robin's version of "Moon" better."

  • 素晴らしい(ToT)

  • Wow... Her voice is just amazing every time. No matter what she sings. Even if I have no idea what she's singing its still beautiful.

  • her voice is like an angel's mixed with a siren's. i always can't believe she's human her voice is so...wow. it's so so beautiful, i wish mine was even half as delicate and sweet as hers.

  • You read my mind. :D

  • Can someone send me this song? I really really really want it <3

But Limewire wont let me download it >:(

  • I absolutely adore this song.

    Very beautiful.

  • such a beautiful song! i love this song!

    Alice

  • it's a pity the remaining origa songs/albums don't sound nearly as good as the yoko kanno compositions. this and the SAC tunes in particular stand way above the origa albums that have been published. i was pretty disappointed after spending much time hunting down the various origa albums, only to find that the vast majority of the tracks don't give anything near to the amount of credit to origa she deserves with a voice like that.

  • It's a matter of taste, you know :) The rest of albums just aren't j-pop (at least those I listened to). Though this song is one of the best in my opinion.

  • *_______________* Amazing! !

  • *La la luuuuu _ La la luuuuu*

    ...

    T_T

[Her voice is really beautifull... *No! I'm not crying! XD*]

  • So pretty!

  • A very cool song. The live version is better than the original.

  • I have to admit, it really sounds better than the original :) Origa adds a touch of mystique on any song she touches.

  • sorry, "as far as i know" instead of "in my opinion" ... i don't know what i'm talking of *rolleyes*

  • That question i asked myself too. in my opinion she was ment to have the greatest voice in the world...

  • Does Yoko Kanno ever Sing?

  • Yep, she sings under the name "Gabriela Robin", who happens to be the original vocalist of this song.

  • It's nice to hear Origa singing a more mellow song. Her voice works really well here. Damn, I love Yoko Kanno.
