They've made Max too intelligent and above all too smart, to a degree it's getting boring in the end. There's obvioyusly nothing he doesn't understand or can not do. @BadIntelMx Yes, but Max was also not sane. It's like Cujo -- he hurt people, but you still can't blame the dog because he had rabies, so he wasn't in his right mind. Max was a psychotic killing machine. Most of the people he killed hurt him in some way (even if it wasn't so badly that they deserved death), and the people he attacked needlessly were because he was having a psychotic episode.

As for the woman...well, yes, that was a stupid move. Yeah, let's bring home the psycho-murderer-dog. XD
