Awwwwwwwwww. That was lovely.

I'm conflicted about Auron in Kingdom Hearts. "They banished him to the land of Disney and wouldn't even let him keep his jug of nog," I always say. And yet parts of that story were great.

I love how you wove together the two stories, showing the parallels between Sora and Tidus. We always forget that for all his grumpiness, Auron really is quite fond of Tidus, like a goofy foster-son, and Tidus is about the only one who ever makes Auron laugh.

And Sora.
