your really good, i'd say you need to work on spotting because you start and end in different places but it's still very good, trust me ur way better then me
@mydancetv Oh so you went last year? I got excepted this year in South Carolina, I just turned 14 today...and i wanted to know how much different i was from people that got into New York.
@Liv2Dance22 oh yah that stuff will drive you crazy haha nc is the new site and the lady teaching there and director for there is really good. her name is Alaine Haubert. It is going to be or is a satellite jko school I think. I think it will be good.
@bumblesong well I have worked on them before in the last year and we do them in class sometimes . But a lot of dancers start them really young. For me it is still a new skill. HARD! =)
@mydancetv OMG thank you for replying :D Im like a huge fan :D Cud u please comment on one of my videos and subscribe to me :D THANK YOU ROBBIE <3333333333
Are you still doing ballet practice( tendus ,fondus....) because now i do these move only for warm up and when i am going to get pointe i will stop practicing and i will do only choreografies on neoclassical ballet( i know this type of ballet because i do modern dance and for the pointe work i will get some advice from my teacher of modern ... what do you say?
psh! Certainly looks better than when I first started doing them. It didn't end pretty. Twisted my ankle in the process. Haha! You really are very good to be beginner at fouettes!
@alexandraxoxoxo11 I have done them some before but not a lot of focus as you can see needs more practice =) I know some schools start people really young on fouettes .
make sure you dont circle your leg to the back when doing the action- dont know if your teacher has told you that but it doesnt actually make a circle it should go from devan to second then into retire not take a circling detour to the back to retire. thats also where you can lose momentum. and also keep your arms strong and get them to first quicker- the more time you take for your arms to get to first the slower your piroutte and also try doing releves in retire to strengthen each leg. =]
Whip your head around really quickly when you are spotting and close your arms really quickly. That will give you more momentum to do more turns! :) But that's a really great start and I would love to see a progress video in a few months! :D
i noticed that you were loosing your momentum while doing them, almost like you couldnt get around fast enough, i would recommend doing a single pirouette, then doing your fouette, so you can still have your momentum to get around, also, dont be afraid to go in plie when you begin one of them(: other than that great job!
Your fouettes are really awesome! I wish I had pointe shoes and could go on pointe. I did ballet in 2010 and stopped, and now I want to do it again. I always do jetes, pirouettes, and high kicks at home. And my old ballet teacher taught us the wrong basic five positions!!!!
Awesome job! They're really coming along nicely :) just remember, the faster you whip your head around in your spot, the faster u will turn. Then, if you pull pull pull up, you'll be doing 32 en pointe in no time ;) good luck! -3
omg! I have been doing them for 5 months and you are better than me. I have a solo at the end of my jazz dance where everyone exits the stage but me, and I just do fouettés for the last 3 counts of 8 and then I run off, and I need some tips. Can you help me? Thanks.
First to watch! Very good Robbie, I can't even do them properly yet :P your last attempt was AMAZING, so graceful and beautiful, keep up the good work! :)
