World of Warcraft got corny after WotLK. It was the end of 60.6(repeating of course)% of the wow pop being die hard fans, to probably no more than 15% now.
Maybe im letting nostalgia take over but i wish Titan the new mmo was just more warcraft storylines with better graphics and gameplay :( warcraft in its prime was amazing
This composer really deserves more credit for what he does. This kind of music really isn't worthy of being just computer game music, kind of a shame.

the game was good.. however, this storyline is the most epic in the game to date in my opinion.. classic was setting the stage.. The thing is, Vanilla WoW brought you into this amazing world and kept you there with great gameplay. BC brought the story to life and added well designed content. Wrath was all about the story that had been the plot behind another entire game, it felt as real and as engaging as Lord of the Rings or Wheel of Time or Narnia, any of it. It was a story, it was fantasy, it was amazing. WoW was amazing. But then the game died with Arthas. Cata had a potential that it didn't reach. Pandas are stupid.

Arthas, the best boss ever, the most epic story than any other games can produce. From the very beginning of Warcraft III to the end of WoTLK, Arthas has always been awesome. He will never be forgotten, as WoTLK was the best.

And in the next expansion, instead of fighting N'zoth, the "Old God behind the Dragon"... we get PANDAS!

It should be like all death knights have to go there and protect him (Because his the new lich king and he commands the death knights) While the argent Dawn is trying to kill him. Death Knights aren't controlled by the Lick King anymore. Bolvar is actually keeping the scourge (undead) at bay. I.E. not fucking everything up ever.

@OdysseusDivine i think you got it all mixed up. I dont play WoW but i keep up with the story, and it seems what people are complaining about is the lack of one (a story), now they launch a whole expansion based on pandas after having this awesome Arthas and Illidan stories. People get upset because the lore is destroyed, yeah the gameplay will stay the same with some minor tweaks for the better, but some people actually care about the backround, not just the gameplay. Plus pandas are retarded.
Pandaren Brewmaster were not a great issue 'cause is just 1 thing, a single random hero in an expansion that gave us the Naga, the blood elves, the story of the forsaken, etc.
But pandas are the CORE of MoP. Instead of N'zoth story, or the rise of Quenn Azshara, we got PANDAS! Pandas as a new race with just a starter zone would have been ok, but the whole expansion?
Actually, the entire story of Mists of Pandaria hasn't been released. When we started The Burning Crusade, did they announce " Oh hey, guess what, Kael'thas is working with the Legion and you're going to face Kil'jaeden "? Did they announce " Oh, right, guys. You'll be going up against Yogg'saron, an old god as well? " before Wrath?
Mists of Pandaria's currently known story is a development on Horde vs Alliance Warfare. Who knows what else will develop storywise.
I wished you could stay under the lich kings command, because the horde isnt real anymore because of the horde in the east. And the horde in the west go for there own goals, especially the undead. And the horde in the west worked together with the ally's which the dark horde didnt prefer. In one expantion there will come war between the UD,BE and the other horde. Im sure of that.
Im not sure the Undead and Belfs will work together but its possible.
So much hatred for the Pandaren on the grounds that they're pandas. We haven't even been properly introduced to them (unless you count WCIII).
Truth is, Arthas had to die at some point, as did Illidan, as did Deathwing. They had good runs as villains and their stories were fulfilled.
We don't even know who (if any, we may be going vanilla-style) the villain of MoP is and what events will unfold as the war between the Horde and Alliance intensifies.

They should have brought the biggest villain of all time in the next expansion. I don't know who or what, but a villain even bigger than Lich King. Then, we could rez Arthas in the Frozen Throne because he is the only one that is powerful enough to kill the villain along with the players. Arthas would then guide us through the raid that had the biggest villain and we would kill him at the end, playing alongside Arthas this whole time.
you do know that we cannot simply "Raid" Sargeras' hideout or citadel right? We cannot even damage sargeras. Sargeras would crush us and Arthas with a simply cough. Yes, one day we MIGHT do something about Sargeras but for that to happen our characters must be ALOT more powerfull than they are now.

@ganooki First off, bringing in a massive villain will keep the players interested and make them stay. Re-inserting Arthas will be great as many players love his character. Arthas can have a flashback as to where he once cared about the citizens of Azeroth thus making him help the players. Him guiding us through a raid and playing alongside him would be epic. When we rez him, Blizz can make a quick cinematic about Jaina Proud. (who Arthas loved once) convicing Arthas to help save Azerot
@peterdabest94 Blizz didn't want a massive villain in Mists because, believe it or not, the vast majority of people DIDN'T want that, they wanted an expansion about the war with the Horde and Alliance. Also, Arthas DID care about the citizens of Azeroth - that was why he didn't just kill us all with the Scourge by snapping his fingers. Ner'zhul and the other Scourge had taken enough control that the Scourge would still be evil, but Arthas at least held them off for a while.
@ganooki When we kill the final boss with Arthas, Blizz can make a HUGE, EPIC cinematic. It will consist of Arthas giving a speech, about him returning to the Frozen Throne because he'll always be the Lich King. Even though he did this good deed, he'll forever be tempted & controlled by the power of the Frostmourne. AND that Bolvar can't be the new Lich King becuz the Scourge won't listen to him. Arthas is their true leader. This will show that Arthas actually saved Azeroth twice.
@peterdabest94 Again, Arthas would be useless against any of the really big baddies. He's powerful, but not powerful enough. Also, Frostmourne was shattered in his battle against us when Tirion pulled a Light miracle out of his butt and smacked it in Arthas's face. Not to mention the fact that Arthas's body was vaporized by magic ghosts and his soul is probably in the dark afterlife that Sylvanas almost faced in her short story. Rezzing him would be impossible.
@ganooki This WHOLE thing will show that Arthas still has a little good heart in him. There's still a little part of him that was once him, the youthful prince who deeply cared about the citizens of Lordaeron & Azeroth. Arthas will go on to say that everyone has a DESTINY. His destiny was to be the Lich King. And he'll say to another important character in the lore (or multiple) in the cinematic that their destiny is to continue to guard the safety of Azeroth and its citizens.

That was why the Scourge could be controlled by Ner'zhul and Arthas, and otherwise they would just be mindless zombies wandering around aimlessly. And finally, that would completely slap Cataclysm's ending in the face, because at the end, the Aspects said that this was the Age of Mortals, and that we would protect Azeroth now. This just reminds me of a young prince. He wanted to save his people. He did the best he could. But the darkness was too powerful. He was desparate, unable to protect his people. He couldn´t just let them turn into mindless monsters, bound by the Lich king´s will. Uther, his teacher and Jaina, the person he loved most, should stay by his side. But they left him, unable to do the right thing. They made the path clear for Lich king. He created his dark part. (have to write this in two comments)

He killed his jailor: Ner zhul, and took his place as the lich king.The hungering frostmourne devoured thousands of souls including his own. But the Light remained strong. The Ashbringer shattered the Frostmourne. The devoured souls were now free. Arthas died in his fathers hands, finally free. Warcrafts saddest story :(

Killing LK on Hardmode 25 was pretty much the final endgame of WoW that was actually fun and significant. This song pretty much is the epitome of what WoW was, and how it ended. New WoW sucks compared to this moment.

I started playing when WotLK was on and after 6 month more or less I stopped (i got really addicted) before Arthas and im glad, i wouldnt have the heart to kill him :D but seriously, everytime i watch "Arthas, my son" cinematic i get goosebumps!

I dont play WoW but i keep up with the story, and it seems what people are complaining about is the lack of one (a story), now they launch a whole expansion based on pandas after having this awesome Arthas and Illidan stories. People get upset because the lore is destroyed, yeah the gameplay will stay the same with some minor tweaks for the better, but some people actually care about the backround, not just the gameplay. Plus pandas are retarded.

Pandaren Brewmaster were not a great issue 'cause is just 1 thing, a single random hero in an expansion that gave us the Naga, the blood elves, the story of the forsaken, etc.
But pandas are the CORE of MoP. Instead of N'zoth story, or the rise of Quenn Azshara, we got PANDAS! Pandas as a new race with just a starter zone would have been ok, but the whole expansion?

Actually, the entire story of Mists of Pandaria hasn't been released. When we started The Burning Crusade, did they announce " Oh hey, guess what, Kael'thas is working with the Legion and you're going to face Kil'jaeden "? Did they announce " Oh, right, guys. You'll be going up against Yogg'saron, an old god as well? " before Wrath?
Mists of Pandaria's currently known story is a development on Horde vs Alliance Warfare. Who knows what else will develop storywise.

I wished you could stay under the lich kings command, because the horde isnt real anymore because of the horde in the east. And the horde in the west go for there own goals, especially the undead. And the horde in the west worked together with the ally's which the dark horde didnt prefer. In one expantion there will come war between the UD,BE and the other horde. Im sure of that.
Im not sure the Undead and Belfs will work together but its possible.

So much hatred for the Pandaren on the grounds that they're pandas. We haven't even been properly introduced to them (unless you count WCIII).
Truth is, Arthas had to die at some point, as did Illidan, as did Deathwing. They had good runs as villains and their stories were fulfilled.
We don't even know who (if any, we may be going vanilla-style) the villain of MoP is and what events will unfold as the war between the Horde and Alliance intensifies.

Pandas are so fucking gay.
They should have brought the biggest villain of all time in the next expansion. I don't know who or what, but a villain even bigger than Lich King. Then, we could rez Arthas in the Frozen Throne because he is the only one that is powerful enough to kill the villain along with the players. Arthas would then guide us through the raid that had the biggest villain and we would kill him at the end, playing alongside Arthas this whole time.
That'd be fucking awesome.

you do know that we cannot simply "Raid" Sargeras' hideout or citadel right? We cannot even damage sargeras. Sargeras would crush us and Arthas with a simply cough. Yes, one day we MIGHT do something about Sargeras but for that to happen our characters must be ALOT more powerfull than they are now.

@ganooki First off, bringing in a massive villain will keep the players interested and make them stay. Re-inserting Arthas will be great as many players love his character. Arthas can have a flashback as to where he once cared about the citizens of Azeroth thus making him help the players. Him guiding us through a raid and playing alongside him would be epic. When we rez him, Blizz can make a quick cinematic about Jaina Proud. (who Arthas loved once) convicing Arthas to help save Azerot

@peterdabest94 Blizz didn't want a massive villain in Mists because, believe it or not, the vast majority of people DIDN'T want that, they wanted an expansion about the war with the Horde and Alliance. Also, Arthas DID care about the citizens of Azeroth - that was why he didn't just kill us all with the Scourge by snapping his fingers. Ner'zhul and the other Scourge had taken enough control that the Scourge would still be evil, but Arthas at least held them off for a while.

@ganooki When we kill the final boss with Arthas, Blizz can make a HUGE, EPIC cinematic. It will consist of Arthas giving a speech, about him returning to the Frozen Throne because he'll always be the Lich King. Even though he did this good deed, he'll forever be tempted & controlled by the power of the Frostmourne. AND that Bolvar can't be the new Lich King becuz the Scourge won't listen to him. Arthas is their true leader. This will show that Arthas actually saved Azeroth twice.

@peterdabest94 Again, Arthas would be useless against any of the really big baddies. He's powerful, but not powerful enough. Also, Frostmourne was shattered in his battle against us when Tirion pulled a Light miracle out of his butt and smacked it in Arthas's face. Not to mention the fact that Arthas's body was vaporized by magic ghosts and his soul is probably in the dark afterlife that Sylvanas almost faced in her short story. Rezzing him would be impossible.

There's still a little part of him that was once him, the youthful prince who deeply cared about the citizens of Lordaeron & Azeroth. Arthas will go on to say that everyone has a DESTINY. His destiny was to be the Lich King. And he'll say to another important character in the lore (or multiple) in the cinematic that their destiny is to continue to guard the safety of Azeroth and its citizens.

That was why the Scourge could be controlled by Ner'zhul and Arthas, and otherwise they would just be mindless zombies wandering around aimlessly. And finally, that would completely slap Cataclysm's ending in the face, because at the end, the Aspects said that this was the Age of Mortals, and that we would protect Azeroth now. He killed his jailor: Ner zhul, and took his place as the lich king.The hungering frostmourne devoured thousands of souls including his own. But the Light remained strong. The Ashbringer shattered the Frostmourne. The devoured souls were now free. Arthas died in his fathers hands, finally free. Warcrafts saddest story :(
