At least, he is at peace with his family and James Dean. When he grew older, Hollywood didn't want him. Very sad, but it just teaches the values as to how Hollywood perceives a person to immortal and young. But if this was 1957, he didn't look 18 here. More like 16 year or younger. Both Ralph and Sal had the same youthful genetics that they were blessed with. Shame we couldn't see how Sal would have looked today, but even through the end of his life, he still like he could pass for 20 or 25.

Most people don't realize that Sal Mineo was a GREAT drummer. Many critics consider his best performance was as Gene Krupa in "The Gene Krupa Story". Although Krupa recorded the soundtrack it looks like Sal is the real player. Very talented.
