We dont paddle in my school, and i live in GA, the south of the south. No public schools paddle, but VERY FEW private school do, and none inmy area do.

I was wearing a suit instead of a dress, but it was a feminine looking one, valuing over 200$. I didn't want to wear a dress because I'm not used to wear them, not used to wear makeup and not used to wear high-heels and fancy shoes. However, I did wear makeup but it was a bad decision because I cried, noticing it would be the last time I see most of them.
Proms are supposed to be formal, you dont wear skimpy little pieces of material to the prom. Evening gowns are appropriate, and thats what you represent is your elegance, beauty and success on prom night, not trying to flaunt what u think you have and showing every piece of skin next to being naked, prom is not about making it a damn fashion show, grow up and the parents think that shit is cute too, and its not.

Well hey if it went against school policies then too bad so sad for her. She's in high school, she should be smart and mature enough to know how to follow rules by her age, and if she's not, then too bad. I had my senior prom a year ago and they posted the dress code rules EVERYWHERE way before the event, so everyone knew what they could and could not wear. She went against the rules so she deserved the suspension. Boo-frickity-hoo.

I agree with the school also. These are just kids. They should onot be allowed to wear revelaing outfits. The school put the rule in place because they knew that different people have different opinioins on what revealing is. I think this story is kind of old and from what I can remember the school gave a lot of notice to parents and students on what would be accepted. Everyone knew the rule before they went. It's just for the kids protection. Bc obviously some parents don't care what kids wear.

wow the dress isn't that bad. the only reason they are making a big deal about it is because she has boobs and she's thicker if she was really skinny and had a flat chest they would have probably thought it was cute. Well I saw her and dress and it doesn't seem too "showy" to me. I recently had a ceremony I went to and a girl at my school wore a much worse dress than the one this girl did, but school dress codes are different, so I won't argue much on this since it wasn't a bad dress to me, but if it did violate the school dress code (which I also found odd since it was the prom, well our school loosens the dress code for dances and such) then I don't think she should of worn the dress, but hey thats just me

That dress was way too short IMO. My mom use to say "You're never to old for a spankin'", but she drew the line at schools spanking the kids. She felt that something like that should be left to the parents. Anyway, the dress was too reviling, my prom dress was one of those puffy gowns from the 80's!
