my childhood television which is 90s television is the BESTTTT television to ever existence and this show was a hugeee part and it captured that moment in time sooo perfectly while still being able to be relate-able today

Daria always reminded me of Holden Caufield. I think a lot of teens do, but she really was with more arrogance and ambition. She didn't just cry--she just sat back and lot and judged a lot like he did--but she really wanted to do things. Big things, deep things. And in a way, she's more of a role model than Caulfield because she wanted to do more than just despair. A lot of us... we feel like them a lot, don't we?

I wouldn't want for Daria come back. Not because i dislike it, I actually love it and wish it would last for longer than it did, but the show ended very nicely. The mere fact that it had a concrete ending and clear cut in the end is an aspect that is already a rare find in today's shows. Any continuation of it would do disservice to the original, at least IMHO.

Instead I would prefer character similar to Daria to show up, use her as an archetype. New setting, new characters, same general theme.

I watched this show when I was 12, now I'm 24, oh my god... It was released here in Spain only in a cable channel, so nobody watched this except me. I used to tell everybody how incredible is this show, but nobody can't actually watch it. But there's a thing about Daria I never liked: Daria, Jane and Trent are suposed to be outcats, but in my high school they had been the cool ones. So they were actually what they were critisizing.

Relating to nowadays, I was a goth kid, a lot the so called "cool" people did socialize with me, but I always felt like they were fake and suck ups. Being nice to get other people to like them. Same goes with Daria and Jane, they just weren't suck ups.

Loved Daria! I love how smart and intelligent Daria was, and I agree with them wholeheartedly: high school has not changed AT ALL. I saw SO many parallels between Daria's portrayal of it and my own real high school experiences, it's so much fun watching this series.

Unfortunately MTV is good for nothing nowadays so it's bound to be a disaster. Also, whenever they pick up a series or a movie 10 or more years later most people are bound to be disappointed. Let's leave it to all the fans to imagine what happened.

MTV directs all its efforts to pre-teens so there's no market for a few loyal Daria fans. Sad but true.

@SteveSpicerPortsmuth Well they're bringing back Beavis and Butthead, and that looks to be just as good if not better than it used to be, and Daria is said to make a cameo in the beavis/butthead reboot, and if its successful, I wouldn't be surprised if they brought Daria back too. Maybe MTV will make a comeback, it kind of just depends on ratings.
