This is a case of the wrong artist getting the song. I like Carrie's version but it doesn't hold a candle to the way Kelly does it. She's so damn soulful and vulnerable with the lyrics and the way she plays around with the original arrangement. It proves the difference in talent between her and Carrie.

I think they're both good versions for diffferent reasons. Why make it in to a compitition. They can both sing amazingly well and we know this. So grow up and give them both the credit they deserve. They both won idol and deserved it. Just stop trashing.

I love love love this song, and I wish Kelly would record it because I only have Carrie's version on my ipod, and this performance is so superior to Carrie's. Carrie can't mix up her vocals like Kelly, nor can she make those high notes sound effortless, and there's no emotion in Carrie's voice. I wish I could sing 1% as good as Carrie, but Kelly is just on another plane.

ALL WHO DISLIKED THIS VIDEO IS CARRIE FANS, let's face it.. both are talented.. and has nice range and personality.. but kelly's voice is just way soulful and it demands attention.. stop being idiot repeating who had bigger range and who sold more.. Kelly got 3.2 octave range, carrie got 2.3.. kelly sold 23million albums and 36 million singles.. kelly belts 6 notes higher than carrie.. and an octave higher.. KELLY IS BETTER.. DEAL WITH IT! @carshe209 To be fair, Carrie's lack of a proper mixing technique hinders her ability to "belt" as high as Kelly does; Carrie sticks to a very dominant, throat-driven chest voice, which makes it more difficult to belt higher pitches than would a good mixing technique. But it's not a 6 note difference....it's a 3 1/2 note difference. Carrie's highest belt is F#5...Kelly's is C6. But again, Kelly knows how to mix her voice up there, and does it very very well, so her C6 is very very head-driven.

Yeah, I prefer this to Carrie's... With Carrie's performance I mostly remember her super long note and the strange way she stressed words in the chorus: "You-say-you'll... COOOOME!"

I love Carrie, but Kelly almost made me cry.
