  • I very much appreciated this video as I have many many regrets to work on. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this important subject.

  • love your videos. i could listen to you talk for hours and hours :) always very informative and interesting <3

  • Hi Samantha, great video, yes Isuppose we all think other countries are supportive and as you say its only when your there that you have regrets.I think it makes you more determined, well done.lol tamsin cornwall england uk

  • Nice video Sis. You are absolutely correct in your regret analogies regarding who and how we finally became ourselves. You are looking great since your surgeries and I am healing well also. I most certainly do not regret my past experiences as they are what made me the person I am today. I often wish I could have transitioned a little earlier, but then I realize that the only way to change or improve our past, is to focus on what will be behind us tomorrow. I am myself.

  • Sam. This is the best video ever! I loved it beyond words. So inspiring, so heartfelt, so honest, so, everything! Thank you for making it. <3

  • I look like a "butchy dude" but after a couple of months most of my partners have left me for being too feminine. How's that? well, I still make friends but I am writing this to tell that one have to make the best of it. I would never, never try the work-out or gym way and I can understand that you did not. Good :)

  • Hi Samantha, it's always good to see and hear you; I loved your thoughts here, especially the ones about your gender socialization growing up and your adult attraction to feminine women and how trans'ing narrows the pool...I was wondering about this part of your life (dating, differences between pre and post trans, etc.) and would love to see you vlog about it if you ever feel like sharing. You rock Samantha! Hope you have a great day. :)

  • Hi Samantha, how did you think, you didn't have much to tell in your last video? Regrets is a huge topic. First I thought you might regret your transition or SRS but it reliefs me that it is not so.

You are my YouTube superstar, always encouraging, helpful. You definitely are a deep thinker - and pretty, too.

    Love

    Charlene

  • Hi Samantha I love your videos!! Thanx there very educational and informative. I would like to know who performed your SRS and how much did it cost? I may have missed that video lol !! I really Love this video because I had the same reservations about being really macho and muscular or being who I was born to be.

  • Thank you Samantha, you are always very intelligent and articulate. I look forward to your videos

  • i know exactly what you mean...and i did feel regret for being trans at first, but after a while i realised that i wouldn't be who i am now if i hadn't been born the way i was...people are who they are because of the way they live what happens to them and most importantly, what they believe in...thank you for this video...xxx

  • please make more videos! :) they really help a lot! xxx

  • Insightful, as usual. You know I'll be noodling this over. Love to you!

  • What understanding and honesty ! A lot of people would envy you that. Keep sharing.

  • My last throw of the dice as a man was to become my Grandad, I always knew I could never be a hunk, and he was the most dignafied man in my life and it was the greatest tribute, if i could follow his in footsteps.Like yourself this phase only lasted a short period of time, and maybe the true dignity i carry from my grandfather is to stand for myself.PS: I fell in love with a partner that was full of life and then she somehow transformed into the most beautiful girl in the world.Cheers, Dee.

  • Really nice video Sam !

I feel a lot like you about regrets... I am confronted by it every single day, since I am still married to my wife and we have tried to stay together. She makes me confront my self every single day about the "what if's...".

But then my answers might be very hard for her, since I am to a certain degree proud of being trans ! I have no regrets of having been born male, without it a lot of very nice things in life I would have not done until now :-), but I am happy now !

  • Thank you Samantha. This video is so very powerful and it really made me take a closer look at myself in spite of everything that people has told to me and I am trying to just be me and a much better person. I love your videos and the Trans-World really benefits from your experience and insight ! - Lady Fox, Denise Amanda Fox, Transgender Network Founder

  • Thank you. Your insights are wonderful!

  • Sometimes, like now watching your video, I know that I'm watching you talk about your life experiences...but when I've finished the video I feel like I've just been through a therapy session. Because you touched on something I felt but didn't put a name on.

We can either say we regret what we didn't succeed at, or we can say that what we did do taught us something. Any effort you attempt that doesn't end with a positive result ends with a lesson instead.

    Long-distance internet hugs.

  • nice vid :) glad 2 see ur back send me a msg on my accnt one day mk cya.

  • I totally agree that it may seem like things are moving slowly, but that time is vital. I'm 19 now and I've been dealing with these feelings for 5 years and looking back I absolutely needed every second of that. I could spend the rest of my life wishing that I'd come out earlier, found a therapist earlier, and worked on hormones sooner, but that doesn't help me and it also ignores the positives that I've experienced on this branch of my journey.

  • This was an amazing video! Really helped me let go of all the "what if's" I was carrying around... And I so light a free! Thanks!

    btw, I'm a fem. lesbian! ^_^

    ~Lizz

  • @LingMistressLizz *feel* so light and free!

  • wow I really like how honest you can be with yourself and so reflective everybody has what "IF'S" in there life

  • Well, I'm regretting that I've spend all my life here in Denmark;)

Hell, there's a lot of stuff that I regret now 39 years old, think you got a very valid point there. Anyway there's a lot of debate going on here in DK at the moment regarding the trans issues, happy that you learned something from all the restrictions we've unfortunately have;)

Bless you for being an inspiration for us all:)

    hugs

    Sally

  • Its so good to see something from you again Samantha! And you know you can't live in regret because its just going to bring you down! A lot of trans people can talk about regrets, but we wouldn't be the same people we are now if we were born with the right set of chromosomes. So...ummm..yea!

  • I too would have thought that Denmark would have been more open to the trans experience.
