  • is this guy a social retart or what......

  • Red Cross- Clara Barton was an Atheist

  • did you call him a faith head? how immature!

  • Old man, your days on earth are numbered. There is no christian heaven for you to go. Stop doing evil like spread hate messages and hate lies against the innocent harmless minority - the gays, or else your evil deeds will lead you to real realm of torture - one that has been created by the collected evils of all Christians that have brought so much sufferings to mankind - the Jews, Muslims, Gypsies, Pagans, 'Infidels', 'witches', the blacks, the natives.

  • As long as Christians in the West persecute the gays, their fellow Christians will be persecuted in Middle East, India, Pakistan, Indonesia and China. If there is an all-powerful god, he is just upholding justice. Christians are very hateful, wicked and sadistic people who have been doing their best to prove the god of love does not exist. If Jesus was true, he hates and condemns all these pharisees.

  • If there were a just (pro gay) god he would DIRECTLY punish the persons persecuting the gays and not murder some of his innocent believers in totally different countries. And it's a total cop-out to say he will eventually punish the offenders in heaven, for then why punish the wrong people NOW? Also, if god is so pro-gay why did he allow such awful anti-gay things to be said about them in his holy books. Become an atheist Fy, we dont believe in, or practise anything, that's ant-gay

  • @HowieInTheUK I'll drink a non-alcoholic beverage to that because as an atheist I know morally that I must follow the law and since I am under 21 that is what I will do.

  • @HowieInTheUK But if God was "anti gay", why would he allow people to be gay?

  • Your god does not exist and there is no such a thing as a pro-gay god or an anti-gay god. It was those desert shaman who are anti-gay, anti- girls losing vriginity before marriage (death penalty) and the new testament writers who are anti-divorce and remarrying.

You Pharisees chose one law from your bible to persecute the gays who are not christians but ignore all other laws and indulge in sinning against them.

  • @FyFhFr25 what a stupid response... lol

  • I am sure you will say: Since the gay CHOOSE to be gay, then they deserve to be persecuted.

I have watched Christians being persecuted in Indonesia ( burning churches, beheading Christian sch girls, killing pastors).

So these christians deserve to be persecuted because they really stubbornly choose to be believe in a religion against Islam, the religion of the majority.

  • that is an ignorant comment, so its ok for christians to be persucuted in islamic countries but not ok for muslims to be harassed in christian nations?

  • I am reminding the Christians that we should live and let live. Christians have no right to harass and deprive the rights and freedom of gays or any minority. Muslims should neither face harassment in Christian nations as long as they don't preach hate against the US and the EU while living in our land.

  • I watched the Youtube "Gay Oppression" & saw all those christians' hate messages. And I can't believe in Christ is love. Those people in the video clip are REAL christians. They are just acting according to what their bible has taught them.

I will never be a Christian, a Buddhist, maybe.

  • Well spoken, Howie - 5/5 stars. What a pity you don't post any videos anymore.

  • Thanks for that. I will be back to posting videos in just a couple of months - promise!

  • Another person talking about something they know nothing about!

  • What exactly is it he doesn't know about?

  • "I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. They are so unlike your Christ"- Gandhi

The problem is people, not religion or God. Also, you mentioned all the atrocities committed under the name of "Religion". Perhaps you'd like to talk about communism? Or Hitler's view on God? Regardless of what you believe or I believe, we will all die in the end. And as it gets closer ,ask yourself, what If I'm wrong?

  • If you want to pile up the numbers of murders carried out by religion versus the number of murders carried out in the name of politics or nationalism you are seriously on the losing side of the argument.

As for Hitler, he was a Catholic all his life and stated this clearly on numerous occasions. He justified the holocost in religious terms.

And if you mean to argue that many people become religious near death because they are scared and irrational, that doesn't mean that there IS a god.

  • Two points. (a) The whole Stalin/Hitler argument is fallacious. They didn't commit the atrocities they did in the NAME of atheism, and (b) assuming you're a christian, what if YOU'RE wrong and the muslims are right? Or the jews? Or the Raelians? Or the ancient Greeks?

  • Of course they did not. Nobody does anything bad in the name of atheism or their lack of belief in a God. No way, it's only the religious nuts that do horrible things, right?

    A) Really, so atheism has absolutely nothing to do with these atrocities even though some of the worst the world has ever seen have been committed by atheists or states declaring themselves atheist.

    B) My beliefs come from a variety of reasons. If you wanna know them, do it over a PM.

  • If only there were evil people somewhere insidiously committing evil deeds, and it were necessary only to separate them from the rest of us and destroy them. But the line dividing good and evil cuts through the heart of every human being. And who is willing to destroy a piece of his own heart? -Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn,

    Religion draws that line:

LU 19:27 But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and SLAY them before me.

  • Thank you for posting this. Very articulate. The tide of christian fanaticals is rising here in north america.

  • innocent children in heaven? what about the muslim ones? are they in heaven also? together with the suicide bombers?

  • good point, those insane missionarys that have brought christianty to africa are responsable for more aids victims than anyone else. they preach good but through criminal ignorance have done evil. wotta world :(

  • I'm not the one blaming the fauls of the world on somebody else.

Moral behavior is just a Christian concept?

Hmmm, I'm not keeping score, I think somebody else is - care to have a go as to whom that might be?

How dare I even try to manipulate you into being a better person.

Shame on me! (Oh, that's a moral value too). Darn.

  • "How dare I even try to manipulate you into being a better person."

I do find it amusing that religious individuals, who endlessly profess to have such great humility, are in actuality the most arrogant and conceited of people. I sometimes wonder if people only become religious because it offers them the marvelous ego-trip of parading themselves as "the chosen" and "infallibly correct" - even to the point they relish the suffering of Aids victims because it "proves their case"..

  • Amazing, if you follow the guidelines you don't need a condom! Abstanance, works every time... :)

    Athiests are sooo compassionate.

Atheism & science what a combo, where's the eugenics chapter again?

    Deacon Dawkins disciple head.

  • How totally condescending! It's the Africans fault if they get aids because they don't abstain from sex, or if they won't practice sex the way that YOUR religion dictates. This exactly what I mean when I say "strings attached" charity.... you give charity only to manipulate people, not really to help them. You give charity to earn yourself points so you get a payback for yourself in going to heaven. It's really quite disgusting.

  • Listen not to the baboons. This is a good response.

  • what kind of response is this??? he has a belief just like you do and what makes you think that people who have different beliefs then you are irrational!!!??? how ignorant and boastful. just because you read a few book on atheism doesnt make you better or superior

  • actually ...it does..as it allows you to question and finaly be objective about the nonsense that religions offer...compare any atheists reality with the POSSIBILITIES offered by religions...and these are from people that supposedly have a RELATIONSHIP with god....right...so much for the evidence thereof.

  • theres no space daddy for sure , even if there is of no use to us

  • A rather vague and rambling response. Also some generalisations regarding history without giving specific examples. At least this video has the virtue of being polite and I believe sincere if rather simplistic.

  • Funny how the athiests come up with reasoned responses to this rubbish, why cant we just do what the christian fanatic does and quote out of a medieval book?

Thanks Howie, your reply gives me faith in humanity to get past superstition and get on with living tolerant and productive lives. If there is one thing i have learned it is the more polite and kind you are in your athiesm the more annoyed the christian becomes :)

  • Interesting video. I'm just wondering a few things though. Dawkins has taken many clergy (particularly Anglican) and Synod fathers to task over various concerns he has with theism. He doesn't come at them with barrels blazing. In fact he calls them "rational Christians". I find your use of the word rational has been used to encompass the Atheist point of view in exclusion to Theists. Do you disagree with Dawkins on this point?

  • Well, to be honest with you mjacobson, no I really don't see how a person can be rational and also be a theist. To me someone who is rational is someone who not just uses logically correct argument, but someone whose logic and arguments are also consistent with what is observable in the real world. It is also someone who does not adopt logical premises that are totally inconsistent with what is observable, or are based on wishful thinking. Theists are totally irrational, deists almost as bad.

  • Hoie, Fair enough. You are entitled to your opinion. Personally, I disagree. I think that it is logical for humans to ponder at the mystery of the universe. If they choose to believe that a higher power has created it...hmmm. May be its true or not. However, it is not an irrational possiblity. Even Dawkins has said that life on other planets that is more intelliegent than that of earth, is highly probable. Yet, he has no proof. Is that irrational. I don't think so.

  • >"I think that it is logical for humans to ponder the .. universe."

There's a Darwinian reason for this. We've evolved to be "problem solvers"; it helps our survival. It doesn't mean that because we have evolved to "ponder" that there is any god that created the Darwinian process.

    >Dawkins said life on other planets ...is probable.

A based on solid evidence, the number of earthlike planets and the universality of Darwinian evolution. He awaits proof rather than jumping to conclusions.

  • thank you

  • thanks for posting this well thought out response.

  • spot on! i
