I have to agree that back for 2001 these graphics were good, but even to this day, they've not improved much at all. That's why RuneScape is better - RS started out with terrible graphics for its time, and look at how real they look now.

Most of the models from the alpha are taken from Wc3. They started out by using the same engine but later on realized it wouldn't work out so they redid the engine and came up with nowadays WoW engine.
