I just had to come back to this discussion after having seen her for the first time in my life. I had front and center seats, and I can tell anyone who cares that she is far prettier, and sounds way better in the flesh than any computer or video can possibly portray. 10 years ago I saw this beautiful girl in a blue print dress holding a guitar 3/4 her own size. She was as beautiful as her voice. Then she sat at the piano and sang Wasteland of the Free.

Iris can still cut a damned handsome figure of a woman when she wants, IMO. While it's true that she doesn't look like a little girl the way she did all thru her 30's, you have to consider that she's faithfully been on the road for damned near 20 years and is now in her late 40's. That alone would have killed a lot of people. I don't know, considering the quality and beauty of what she has given us, how anyone could consider her unattractive.

What does it mean to be good looking? Looks are matter of the moment. If Iris dyed her hair, wore a ton of makeup and dressed in the current fashion, she'd be considered beautiful.
