  • >> To clean up Ubuntu use BleachBit, and Ubuntu Tweak to remove old kernels. NO ONE uses Computer Janitor, and every one knows it sucks. Everyone knows you use ubuntu-restricted-extras to install Flash .

  • Linux is like your WIFE, you have to take the time to conquer and know her before you can get laid (not easy i agree) but she won't charge you for that. Windows is a whore! she promise you fun up front, all you have to do is to pay...her live (source code) is not on your business and unfortunately she will keep asking for more money, and you got to be careful with virus/HIV !!!

STOP COMPLAINING, THE CHOICE IS UP TO YOU!

  • Maybe it's because Bing is an inferior product?

  • Lol, there's STILL nothing on the other side.

  • You stupid British fuck. Go brush your teeth and stop playing with computers.

  • lol i'm suprised you havn't done a Unity rant yet.... (from what i've seen)

  • The current release also has the buttons on the left

  • 1. Pretty bad there are so many updates right after a release, but that's what you get when you release often and ontime.

    2. Kernel updates require restart (thought you'd know that)

    3. Window buttons can be switched back to right side. (still a bad idea to switch imo)

  • the button can be moved to the other side your ranting about a theme that any linux user could change within 3 seconds and as someone said computer janitor is for completely removing unwanted packages if you want it don`t remove it

  • very true what he said abt the updates terminal etc... it shows theyre just releasing to just release not releasing an OS that is ready to be released... big big big mistake. windows takes years to release an os but they make sure they work out alot of kinks before releasing another os and when they do they just update the os through windows support.

  • Canonical is nothing but a marketing company. They contribute very little upstream and leave all the bug fixes (16 to 1) to Redhat. Ubuntu is slow and bloated and pretty unstable.

They are so determined to create a mac like OS they ignore their users... wait until resource hog unity is applied (because gnome wouldn't do what Canonical wanted).

If you want it easy go to Mint Debian (rolling release) or a real cutting edge distro like Fedora.

  • "Bullshit was it ready if we're updating the kernel already. It hasn't even been out for a week yet! What's this all about? LETS DO IT!! (pound on keyboard)" --classic.

  • Ubuntu was good until 8.10, then everything went to shit. A lot of what he says in the video is pretty valid.

  • @522viper Yep, I have to agree.

  • ugh.. Ubuntu is a piece of shit starting with 9.10. Linux Mint works better and is more user friendly than Ubuntu in my opinion. (working better is actually the fact). I honestly dont see why people can stand promoting it. Canonical is headed by a bunch of idiots.

  • only kernel updates need a restart.... and the reason windows doesnt update so much is because they have patch tuesday so if they fix a bug they wait until this one tuesday until they release it so they leave ppl more vunerable, ubuntu gets the updates rolled out quick = good!

  • 10.04 is shit. every release of ubuntu seems to be getting worse.

  • Yeah that my issue with Linux too, i mean so much crap is simply migrated into the next version. But i guess it's like my grandmother used to say "nothings comes for free"

  • You can search for more programs while one is installing in the software center.

  • Wtf... geico lizard is reviewing ubuntu?

  • "bullshit was it ready" lol

  • Holy shit. I never thought there were such retard on the net. You first complain that they kept the old orange folders in the file explorer, then you fucking complain that they didn't include the old theme? What the fuck dude? You're obviously just a Windows fan boy who will bitch and moan about absolutly anything you can find. Go fuck yourself.

  • @rocksta1992 I'm not a Windows fanboy, I've been using Linux from way before Ubuntu was even a concept. Also it's a bit of satire because people find it funny, obviously there was something you liked about it since you continued watching the video.

  • @Techsnap You should go back to Windows... you'd have more to whine about. Going on about Adobe issues when you know full well that's a software issue. Same with Computer Janitor.. big deal. Uninstall it. Like Windows didn't have any packaged software with problems. Grow up! You are acting like a spoiled rotten kid with piss-azz attitude!!

  • so.. you like linux, don't like ubuntu, don't like compositing and don't like cloud computing.. and i thought i was alone. anyway, i'll stop now before i bloody annoy you with my comments.

  • @bamdadkhan oh, i forgot to mention 'social' networking. hate that, too. subscribing right away. :))

  • ubuntu is good but its also a joke.. i have been windows user for a long time.. been trying to understand ubuntu but sometimes it just dosent have a fucking clue whats it doing half the fucking time.. lol just downloading shit from their download center is crazy it downloads it then hides it and i can never find it or use it. unless the fucking terminal is up.. and then when you wanna research any problems half the fucking retards who made it dont have a clue then they just talk about ubuntu.

  • Waiting for part 3 :)) Anyway, everybody knows that Ubuntu sucks!

Use Arch Linux or Slackware, that's mean Linux 100%. Not Ubuntu, windows like double-click = install a package.. and take so long time and use so much resources... Doesn't worth to try it...

  • @xxSwAmPxx its funny you mention arch and resources.. Arch has a worse dependency handler then ubuntu does.

  • @twitch6000 Do you even use Arch Linux? How much ram use at start-up? My arch linux use only about ~75 MB ram. Now, how much MB of ram use Ubuntu at start-up? I know, about 250-300. How GB is the root partition after install ubuntu? 3-4 gb, right? In arch linux about 1 gb, with all my programs 3gb, in ubuntu with all my programs about 5-6 gb.. UBUNTU SUCKS!

  • @xxSwAmPxx I am not talking about ram usage. I am talking about your claim of using up resources and it being better then ubuntu. It isn't it is worse. Everything from its dependency handiling to what it is based on sucks. Period. I am not saying ubuntu is better it isn't. Linux in general sucks. It offers nothing that windows or mac can't. Hell in that case even Opensolaris is better then linux, You know why? It doesn't crash with every so called update. Just face it linux sucks.

  • Don't you realize Ubuntu is working for the future? Also they work the open source way, they release and improve on the way...

  • @gonzaklo And yet if Microsoft did that they would be flamed to a crisp by the white-knight penguin brigade. (Case in point: Vista.)

  • @gonzaklo hhahahah improve what? All I have seen with every release is shit that worked getting broken along with them releasing half asses programs..

  • we should let all the developers know about this video so they can watch them

    because they need feedback ,

  • I like Ubuntu, but it's never quite ready or perfect. Of all distros, my favorite is Linux Mint. I just tested Mint 9 and I consider it almost perfect. Your rants are hilarious and right on target. Sometimes, common sense is missing from developers. I still use Ubuntu because its stable but for Windows migrations it can be confusing.

  • At least they make it really easy to install the MP3 codecs. It's about the closest they can get to having them out of the box without actually being out of the box.

  • @GFree45 Uhmm easy hahahha nah. If you call going to the cli and typing in sudo apt-get install crap easy you have issues.

I find linux mint easier. They have a gaint button that says install codecs. It also shows a warning of the risks. That is easy. Opensuse also has yast to do this for you.

  • @twitch6000 What? There's also a giant button in the latest Ubuntu that says install codecs, at least in Rhythmbox. FFS man, I'm FoolsGold on Linsux, show a little respect. :)

  • @GFree45 Yes there is,but it has never worked for me... Infact look at a few honest reviews and will see my point. I think the reason though is the repo it uses.

  • You do realize computer janitor is designed to fully remove all programs and whatnot so it's like a clean install?

  • @crunchy3neo I do but it shouldn't do things the way it does.

  • hahahahaha omg that "breath in" bing moment was fucking win.
