Totally agree with the comment about the west indies islands. why would anyone want to go there, when greece has all you could need. Done santorini twice and most other islands, love greece. You can always visit them all several times. Happy days drinking long island iced teas in the sun.

Don't be so jealous. Like it or not. Greece is a very diverse country with one of the greatest history in the world and many beautiful places to see. Santorini is by many sources called one of the most romantic places in the world.

Oh and btw. Istanbul? means = go into town. It's greek from origin. Istanbul is a greek name and it is created by greece when greece was the Centre of wealth and knowledge. So when you talk about istanbul you talk about greece. Also the mosk is greek

In the summer 1970 I sailed into the lagoon of Santorini on my way to Thessaloniki from Cyprus. At that date, the new volcano island was much smaller than it is now. It was not a tourist resort then.

I didn't go ashore but stopped for a day and a half. The experience of going in and seeing the cliffs, with stripes showing where the slope of the original volcano had been, was totally unforgettable.

If you get a chance to visit the area, take it. I could spend eternity in the Aegean.

Great cover of an great song. Who is it? I spent a summer there with a couple of buddies and then went back there for my honeymoon. Both were totally different experiences, both totally awesome.
