Why do so many people hate Nicolas Cage? He's an Awesome Actor. And this movie is the best I've ever seen. The trailer sucks. This is probrably why so many people wont whatch the movie. i really did not enjoy this war movie. the scene with the terrible artillery effect was just so substandard, it was decent. but overall it felt more like an action movie then an actual war movie
Academy cock sucker Nicolas Cry Pussy....what a shit "actor".....if this patetic worm is AN ACTOR, Al PAcino what it is?.....or Ralph Fiennes?.....and the movie, what a stupidity....let's lick an indian ass....i wonder when will be made it the movie with blacks in Pacific?.......
Nicolas cage can't act for shit... but the fact that the movie also had native americans in it kicking ass.. i just couldn't hate it.. i will always respect them, they fought well for their land.
@yourengland You have a valid point though if you're really going to stick up for the Native Americans then start by not calling them "Indians", just saying.
On another note I personally I liked this film, perhaps not one of John Woo's best but certainly not his worst either. Just keep in mind when watching that its a action flick shining a brief light on a very important but hardly honored part of the Pacific theater of WWII.
@KaliShiva26 No, I understand what you're saying - I haven't even seen the film, so I'm not making a comment on the quality. But on the other note, every Native American I know and almost every Native American I've heard of prefers the term "Indian," or at most "American Indian." "Native American" is a term white people came up with on one of their little guilt trips.
@yourengland wtf are you talking about? indians is what many idiots have leanred to call them, because one of the first settlers thought they were in india, they called them indians... the proper term is 'native americans' because they are the aboriginal people, get you're facts straight.
@cuzgandalfgothigh99 Don't get mad - "Indian" is a term that has been reclaimed by indigenous americans since at least the 1960s. In 1972 the Indian-rights activist group AIM (American Indian Movement) seized govnt. buildings and fought federal forces - they did that while calling themselves American Indians. So if they can fight for reservation poverty relief, treaty reparations, and tribal sovereignty as Indians, who am I to say "You known you guys are really Native Americans, right?"
@yourengland who said i was mad? lol dude you need to get you're brain checked, you obviously can't respond to someone who is right, some Natives preferred to be called indians that is true, but it doesent mean they cant be called native americans too... originally Native americans is still the proper term, but they are wiped out now so, any idiots can call them whatever they want now.... -_______-

You people are all complaining how this movie is unrealistic and too action driven. That's what is supposed to be dammit! I'm sure you all have the ability to distinguish a movie that is supposed to give it's entertainment in the form of pure action (and Windtalkers does it well), and a real war film like Thin Red Line or Saving Private Ryan.

I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!!! If you guys haven't seen this AWSUM movie its about like this war outfit led by nicholas cage whos a like a big floppy donkey dick flopping around in World War 2, FLOP FLOP FLOP! Anyway he pioneers a technique that saved all his men that was farting into a radio so the enemy couldnt understand. Each fart signified something and he mastered the ability to conjure up whatever fart he wanted! wet. and thats why were not all speaking german. study history you fools!
@harveyderf Yes, "WINDTALKERS" is a euphemism for 'talking thu or with wind', or, more literally, the deciphering of a Fart Morse Code. This technique was employed to great success in many modern wars. Although 'Fart Whispering' dates back to more ancient times, one really does need a walkie talkie or some other transmission device, since vibrations are easily drowned out in warfare. Cage & the chap who played Ben really do justice to the Fart Whispering tradition. I suggest you all study this
@jasonismyhomie YOU ARE RIGHT DUDE!! you said it much better than me though are you a professor of 'Windtalking'? i just know of it because im the great grandson of one of the greatest fart whisperers of all time - Sgt Rip McPuffle. Though sadly time has distanced me from this great tradition and I would love to learn more about it. Like what does a wet one mean? Or a squeaker? How about a shart? DO they use fart whispering in modern warfare? Please tell me more, I have so many questions!
@harveyderf I am now just learning of Windtalking in its modern incarnation as a rediscovery of my roots. See, I was raised by shamans who have employed Windtalking to reach the Ether, & I was rather curious to learn of its role in recent warcraft! I have heard of Rip McPuffle! You should be proud, he is praised by my family for modernizing our craft! Its rather complex, but rule of thumb: the dryer the fart, the less imminent danger. Wet = impending doom. A shart? Say your prayers!
@jasonismyhomie Wow your ancestry goes right back to the birth of Fart Whispering! Very interesting, is it true it started out as a way to communicate with ones herd? I've read of accounts of fart whisperers farting into the ears of various animals and also placing their ears against the booty hole of the said animal to interpret it's true feelings. Is your ancestry in anyway related to the Proud Running Pump? He was well known for the length and amplification of his whispers.
@harveyderf Actually, my most notorious ancestor is the famed Silent Air Biscuit. I think you have us confused with the Big Brown Bear clan. Our ilk tends to deal with the Spirit world, & not with animals. Thats why this movie intrigued me so - I didn't know Windtaking could occur outside that realm. If you're interested, Spirit Farts come in all varieties, & maintain similar characteristics to living Farts (Smell, Sound, & Vibration are all tangible). Its enough to raise the hairs on your neck!
@jasonismyhomie my sincerest apologies. my knowledge of the ancient craft of windtalking is rudimentary at best. I hope I didnt offend you or your silent but violent clan. the spiritual element of windtalking is fascinating & one I want to learn more about. have you ever reached your ancestors thru arse whispers? I wish to contact my great grandfather with my fart. im hoping the wind will carry all my love & my simple message of youre eating ice cream in heaven now papa to the spirit world.
@harveyderf No apologies needed, but, please, we are a gentle people & tho silent, we are NEVER violent. See, there is a rule to this. Every violent Fart you expel, should your intent be that of malice, will come back to you three fold! i.e. If you were to smite me w a series of 'machine gun' Rips, I might suffer immediate trauma, but YOU'D have explosive diaherra for weeks! Contacting ancestors is NOT for novices, you must seek a wisened elder. I am just a trainee & cannot yet Windtalk alone...
The pacific DID have 6 billion marines dying every second you fucktard.
Pelieiu scene? Iwo scene?
and no its not factual. its based on 3rd hand accounts--not even 2nd hand. Band of bros was 2nd hand, and grossly innaccurate.
I think you got confused. I think some people thought all those peeps getting popped in the end of windtalkers were US when they were actually japs. you can tell by the straps over their chest and the netted helmets.
Iwo Jima scene has 1,000 casualties. It probably would have 5,000 wounded. Pelieiu? Taking the airfield we lost 1,700 men and had 8,000 wounded. The miniseries was based off a book written by two soldiers, Eugene Sledgehammer and Leckie. And no, even if they were the japs it is too unrealistic.
@LemurDeCatta iwo jima scen has a lot more than that you fucktard. Taking the airfield costed about 1500, but the show has about 10000 dying.
Secondly the miniseries CLAIMS its based on the book, which was based on secondary (not primary) information. Its very loosely based; you should read it sometime. I have the copy on my Android =). And Iwo had 26000 japs die, so no it's not unrealistic, genius.
You got to be the dumbest mother fucker. Did you even watch the series? The movie was based on the marine's side of the war. That's probably why you didn't see any jap guts as much. Go watch the fucking series, it's more realistic then this shitty low budget movie. The Marines did wear nets on their helmet by the way, or the navy did. Iwo Jima had 26,000 dead? Too bad there was only 18,000 japs on Iwo Jima. Get your fucking facts straight, dunbass.
@usarmyalltheway1 i'm not anti american. i've just seen much better war movies. okay, it's not as shitty as i gave it credit for but movies where america wins at the end like we were soldiers were better. or band of brothers
@theNICAguy ok. maybe youre not as stupid as i thought. we were soldiers wasn't too bad.
band of brothers was shitty.
example:
scene when they had to take this p.o.s. town, they kept showing scene after scene of the krauts shooting the guys in the stomach, no krauts were getting popped, then the scene cut to the end; all the krauts were dead, a few captured and the town was taken. hanks and spielburg are like "since you krauts agreed to help with the film, we wont show u guys dying" faggots
@NarutosDemonForm youre an anti american cock sucker. of course you hate it; America wins in the end. its a shame about the indians, but what do u want? fucking cry about it, then...lol
@usarmyalltheway1 Did you even bother to watch this shit? Most likely not. Of course America wins in the end dipshit. Otherwise we would be speaking German right about now. And guess who saved all the sorry asses? NAVAJOS.
And I guess me living in America and supporting all it's ways makes me an anti-American? Then by your username that would make you a fucking Nazi.
@usarmyalltheway1 Since when in the hell did I say that I hate movies where america wins? Nowhere. Keep talking to yourself. Apparently that's all you're good at doing.
And before you start "fucktard, fucktard, fucktard" Yeah, I get your counter-argument. Still doesn't explain jack shit.
i saw this movie the other day and it was awesome. it was very emotional and almost made me cry which is weird because i never cry. anyway i loved this movie and it was amazing. not as good as saving private ryan but still good.
The whole story doesn't make any sense. Never heard of using any secret codes for artillery correction or close air support. Always open text. Encoding and decoding only slows down communications when every second counts and doesn't provide any advantages. Codes were used for long term strategic and tactical communications between HQs and command posts regarding battle plans, movement of units, etc...
lol thats kind of offensive to the movie man and saving private ryan is a good movie but dont judge and say the movie is not better than private ryan no offense
@HeroOfCanton99 its because Saving ryans privates set the bar so low....every movie has to have at least twice as much red dye and fake organs in order to be hailed as "realistic...it truly shows our fore fathers........in pieces.....theres some there....and some there" the director of enemy at the gates specifically openly admitted to wanting to outdo SRP in this way, and so did the guys at Black Cock Down.
Why do so many people hate Nicolas Cage? He's an Awesome Actor. And this movie is the best I've ever seen. The trailer sucks. This is probrably why so many people wont whatch the movie. Because the trailers make the movie and the actors look worse than they do in the movie. WHATCH IT YOU MORONS! THIS IS AN AWESOME MOVIE! NICOLAS CAGE IS AN AWESOME ACTOR IN THIS MOVIE! WHATCH IT! Each fart signified something and he mastered the ability to conjure up whatever fart he wanted! wet. and thats why were not all speaking german. study history you fools!
harveyderf 1 year ago
@harveyderf Yes, "WINDTALKERS" is a euphemism for 'talking thu or with wind', or, more literally, the deciphering of a Fart Morse Code. This technique was employed to great success in many modern wars. Although 'Fart Whispering' dates back to more ancient times, one really does need a walkie talkie or some other transmission device, since vibrations are easily drowned out in warfare. Cage & the chap who played Ben really do justice to the Fart Whispering tradition. I suggest you all study this
jasonismyhomie 1 year ago
@jasonismyhomie YOU ARE RIGHT DUDE!! you said it much better than me though are you a professor of 'Windtalking'? i just know of it because im the great grandson of one of the greatest fart whisperers of all time - Sgt Rip McPuffle. Though sadly time has distanced me from this great tradition and I would love to learn more about it. Like what does a wet one mean? Or a squeaker? How about a shart? DO they use fart whispering in modern warfare? Please tell me more, I have so many questions!
harveyderf 1 year ago
@harveyderf I am now just learning of Windtalking in its modern incarnation as a rediscovery of my roots. See, I was raised by shamans who have employed Windtalking to reach the Ether, & I was rather curious to learn of its role in recent warcraft! I have heard of Rip McPuffle! You should be proud, he is praised by my family for modernizing our craft! Its rather complex, but rule of thumb: the dryer the fart, the less imminent danger. Wet = impending doom. A shart? Say your prayers!
jasonismyhomie 1 year ago
@jasonismyhomie Wow your ancestry goes right back to the birth of Fart Whispering! Very interesting, is it true it started out as a way to communicate with ones herd? I've read of accounts of fart whisperers farting into the ears of various animals and also placing their ears against the booty hole of the said animal to interpret it's true feelings. Is your ancestry in anyway related to the Proud Running Pump? He was well known for the length and amplification of his whispers.
harveyderf 1 year ago
@harveyderf Actually, my most notorious ancestor is the famed Silent Air Biscuit. I think you have us confused with the Big Brown Bear clan. Our ilk tends to deal with the Spirit world, & not with animals. Thats why this movie intrigued me so - I didn't know Windtaking could occur outside that realm. If you're interested, Spirit Farts come in all varieties, & maintain similar characteristics to living Farts (Smell, Sound, & Vibration are all tangible). Its enough to raise the hairs on your neck!
jasonismyhomie 1 year ago
@jasonismyhomie my sincerest apologies. my knowledge of the ancient craft of windtalking is rudimentary at best. I hope I didnt offend you or your silent but violent clan. the spiritual element of windtalking is fascinating & one I want to learn more about. have you ever reached your ancestors thru arse whispers? I wish to contact my great grandfather with my fart. im hoping the wind will carry all my love & my simple message of youre eating ice cream in heaven now papa to the spirit world.
harveyderf 1 year ago
@harveyderf No apologies needed, but, please, we are a gentle people & tho silent, we are NEVER violent. See, there is a rule to this. Every violent Fart you expel, should your intent be that of malice, will come back to you three fold! i.e. If you were to smite me w a series of 'machine gun' Rips, I might suffer immediate trauma, but YOU'D have explosive diaherra for weeks! Contacting ancestors is NOT for novices, you must seek a wisened elder. I am just a trainee & cannot yet Windtalk alone...

you guys wanna see a better Pacific war movie?
watch The Pacific.
HBO makes best movies.
LemurDeCatta 1 year ago
@LemurDeCatta youre a speilburg watching fucktard
usarmyalltheway1 1 year ago
@usarmyalltheway1
at least the Pacific was factual and didn't have 6 billion marines dying every second.
LemurDeCatta 1 year ago
@LemurDeCatta
I think some people thought all those peeps getting popped in the end of windtalkers were US when they were actually japs. you can tell by the straps over their chest and the netted helmets.
usarmyalltheway1 1 year ago
@usarmyalltheway1
LemurDeCatta 1 year ago
@LemurDeCatta iwo jima scen has a lot more than that you fucktard. Taking the airfield costed about 1500, but the show has about 10000 dying.
Secondly the miniseries CLAIMS its based on the book, which was based on secondary (not primary) information. Its very loosely based; you should read it sometime. I have the copy on my Android =). And Iwo had 26000 japs die, so no it's not unrealistic, genius.
usarmyalltheway1 1 year ago
@LemurDeCatta and if you think showing the organs of marines and not japs makes a movie unrealistic, then you have my fucktard seal of approval =D
usarmyalltheway1 1 year ago
@usarmyalltheway1

This movie should be renamed to: Nicholas Cage vs. the Japanese

@LemurDeCatta right and 6000000 americans dying and exploding with 460 gallons of blood each in 6 minutes is totally realistic, right? fucktard

usarmyalltheway1 1 year ago
@usarmyalltheway1 i'm not anti american. i've just seen much better war movies. okay, it's not as shitty as i gave it credit for but movies where america wins at the end like we were soldiers were better. or band of brothers
theNICAguy 1 year ago
@theNICAguy ok. maybe youre not as stupid as i thought. we were soldiers wasn't too bad.
band of brothers was shitty.
example:
scene when they had to take this p.o.s. town, they kept showing scene after scene of the krauts shooting the guys in the stomach, no krauts were getting popped, then the scene cut to the end; all the krauts were dead, a few captured and the town was taken. hanks and spielburg are like "since you krauts agreed to help with the film, we wont show u guys dying" faggots

The true story of the CodeTalkers:
Government steals land when first coming to America.
Government realizes that they are in a pickle.
Government steals Navajo language to make a unbreakable code.
Government gets credit while Navajos must remain silent about what they did.
Government FINALLY decides to honor them with medals too many years too late.
Hollywood jumps in and makes crappy adaptation of CodeTalkers.
Navajos are pissed. (Well I am for one)

Then by your username that would make you a fucking Nazi.

i saw this movie the other day and it was awesome. it was very emotional and almost made me cry which is weird because i never cry. anyway i loved this movie and it was amazing. not as good as saving private ryan but still good.
1stinfantrydivison 1 year ago
The whole story doesn't make any sense. Never heard of using any secret codes for artillery correction or close air support. Always open text. Encoding and decoding only slows down communications when every second counts and doesn't provide any advantages. Codes were used for long term strategic and tactical communications between HQs and command posts regarding battle plans, movement of units, etc...

Why does every war movie have to super realistic? God, Black Hawk Down was so bad!
HeroOfCanton99 1 year ago
@HeroOfCanton99 its because Saving ryans privates set the bar so low....every movie has to have at least twice as much red dye and fake organs in order to be hailed as "realistic...it truly shows our fore fathers........in pieces.....theres some there....and some there" the director of enemy at the gates specifically openly admitted to wanting to outdo SRP in this way, and so did the guys at Black Cock Down.
