Fostex Model 80 1/4" Analogue Tape Recorder 8 Track

I just bought one of these. Has anyone who has owned this reel to reel had problems recording over a previous and still being able to hear what was recorded over?

Wow, you don't get that witha mouse click do you! There are so many bad sounding recordings these days, digital sucks in the wrong hands.

Hi , I have fond memories of this machine , The instrumental "Popcorn" on my channel was recorded using the 80 driving a Roland Mc 500 ... Happy Days !

hm, shouldn't the tape be on the upper side of the right counter (big wheel) ? :)
