What happens is that chicken is the cheapest meat in Brazil, and selling a cattle meat "dish" for a cheap price (sometimes near 1 Real) is quite interesting, thus it's said to be made from cat, 'cause they would be inexpensive then :)

I used to eat these every day -- until I noticed the neighborhood dogs started to disappear. I had to switch to cachorro quintes instead!
