And also the thing with the "OMG YOU RUINED THIS PIECE UR SUCH A DISGRACE TO [insert legendary composer here]"
People can't "ruin" pieces. What was composed will always stand as great as it is. If someone is learning to play a piece, and it sounds horrible at the moment, he/she will probably improve. However, that's not the case here. This kid is 10, and can play this piece decently. I bet in a couple years he might even surpass most of you guys in piano.
I think it's pretty stupid for all these haters saying you r not ready. But damn dude you r amazing! There's no rules to when u should or could play a piece like this. I remember it took me like a year to play this when I was 16. Keep it up. Haters hate cuz they r jealous and immature. You rock. Proud of you. You got the approval of Speaker Junkies!
@speakerjunkies I'm with you. I really hate (with a passion) all those people who try and discourage others from learning from learning a hard piece. They just want to feel superior, and THINK that there is no one that has a higher learning potential than them. Pathetic.
Amazing on a digital! Congratulations to this young gentleman for having the guts to play this piece and for memorizing the entire movement. I bet he plays it perfect now.
I take my hat off to this kid. coming from someone who knows this piece well and whose been playing for 17 years (now 23), I wouldn't have been able to keep my cool with a church audience watching. he's playing it at the proposed speed, granted he made mistakes but put yourselves in his shoes. You're a 10 year old pianist, playing to a church audience, on an electric piano, whilst knowing he's being filmed.. at least he did what any good performer does when they make mistakes.. he carried on
I wish I could hear how he plays this now. Even at 10 years old, he plays WAY better than 90% of the people on YouTube who seem like they took a line of cocaine before they started playing this piece!
@MsMagicumushroom Das ist mir klar aber man sieht, dass der Junge Begabung hat und wenn er mehr geübt hätte wäre sicherlich besser gweorden. Lieber etwas die Geschwindigkeit reduzieren und weniger Fehler machen.
At 10 years old he is a very good player, but parts of his technique will be almost impossible to unlearn. Its usually the fault of some hick piano teacher. He does not appear to be a prodigy, luckily because this would make me very upset. We lose a prodigy every year to poor instruction and dumbass parents. The electronic piano can be forgiven as he is whitetrash and autistic

@gnihciew first: sorry for my English, but am german.
It is a peculiar thing to play fast, what does this boy. But the real trick is to play musically, and this boy has not mastered. I hope, you understand.
@gnihciew actually this piece is a very easy piece to memorize. chord progressions and modulations are easy. He'll look back on this in 10 years time when he can actually play the piece properly and cringe. I know I do. its all part of the learning process. I for one think the kid is not the one at fault here in anyway. Whoever taught him this and let him go on stage to play it in this condition (i'm guessing teacher or parent) should be shot. THEY are the ones to blame not this chap.
@gnihciew I mean hes amazing but it looks like he doesn't care about what hes playing hes spending to much time thinking and not feeling and yes im 13 i know what it's like to have smaller hands when you play a piece like this.
Obviously it impressive that this kid is even playing it this well despite his mistakes. However, he is clearly being pressured too much to play pieces which he cannot truly master and isn't ready for yet, hence more than a few mistakes. His hands probably aren't suited to this song (i doubt he can reach and octave) and he should play slightly easier songs until he is ready for this clearly extremely difficult piece. I don't think anybody is saying he isn't talented.
performers must learn to play as much perfect as possible, not as much difficult as possible. That way they will focus on music and not technique. An the audience wants music, not technique. I would prefer to listen this kid play a gnossiene as perfect as possible, rather this non-musical result
to name something, the kid's tensing up too much. he needs to loosen up more--he's already proven that he has technical abilities, but what makes a pianist great is not only there technical skills but also their ability to effectively express themselves. he needs to be taught on his "touch"

first of all, compliments work well, but when you generally see the comments that compliment and defend the kid, it's from people with mediocre piano skills or none at all;
playing on the electric piano is okay; however, for a recital or performance like this I would definitely be all out against it; not only are the keys too light, the sound quality deteriorates.
Wow!! Amazing that a 10 year old can achieve that! Keep playing. Of course there will be a few mistakes....one he is probably nervous playing to an audience like that, and his hands will be much smaller than an grown. Fantastic achievement. :)
Sure, there's definately some mistakes and flaws to the piece. But if you keep in mind his age, and the fact that this is an incredibly difficult song... This is not bad. :P
Sry Dude but your a Kind of Child who gets Forces by your Parents! I am talented too but i Play peaces like this Ehen my Hands Are Big enough :D so i will give you a Thing down !
@thescubadivingzoo Shut up. Seriously, it's an amazing achievement for a ten year old to be able to play something like this even if he is getting some parts wrong. At least he can play most of it right.
this kid is so amazing although he makes mistakes, its understandable since he is only 10 yrs old..i mean like hey, your fingers should be long enough to play this piece...and you are more likely to hurt yourself if you try to do this and youre not that skilled enough...as for the kid,he is totally amazing but i think the reason for his mistakes is because of the tempo and dynamics...for a kid its hard to create really loud tunes in the piano..
I hope another video gets uploaded when his hands grow into this piece. Should fix most, if not all the mistakes he can't help but make in this playing.
about this KID, we must to know how many hours of tranning he had on this music, for to say if he is talent or for to say ,he trainned a lot. (not enough).
But in my opinion ,its good start. I give a 7 for him. (for to try a big step ,he broke his legs sometimes ,but its ok) iThink he can understand what i am saying.
better to wait five years than five minutes to anticipate.
@ssj3mohan Furthermore, your word placement is horrible. I am not trying to offend you, but it's seriously next to impossible to read with all of your grammar mistakes. I figure that if you can just hand out criticism, you would be okay with some. Look at it as constructive criticism.
@ssj3mohan Really not trying to be rude I swear. But, you really should work on your spelling. I understand English may be a second language, however if you're going to criticize people, you really should attempt to do it properly with proper English. Honestly, it doesn't even look you're trying to spell correctly. I am seriously not trying to pick a "youtube" fight or to offend you. My English is not fantastic, but your spelling is atrocious.
@njnolan1 ok no problem ,next time i will use a proper grammar, right?
In few days i will make myself understandable.I am using the right words ,but not on right sequence,This is why you cant understand ,relly sorry,Thank you.
@ssj3mohan I don't know your back round in English so I am not judging you. It's just really hard to read. Commas are misplaced and words are omitted. Most of your words are correct, but by omitting words such as it's, but, and and the point you're trying to make gets lost. I'm not great with comma placement either. Keep it up and keep studying. You should do great. Maybe try practicing by reading other people's comments and trying to find the point they are making. That will help too.
Even with his short fingers, this boy plays 3rd better than i dare hope to. Tomorrow I will pull out the old dusty keyboard from under the bed and give this little piece a go :-)
very talented child! when I was 14 I started playing piano and the first thing I've learned was 1st movement of moonlight sonata, but I never managed to play 3rd movement, I was too lazy to practice :D
@ABCarlosE tal ves al niño le guste tocar y no es como los otros retrasados que pasan todo su tiempo en videojuegos que lo único que logran es inhibir el potencial e imaginación de las personas, cuantos talentos se habrán perdido...
I'm sorry but I'm kind of hater. He is talented indeed, but if he really wants to be good - and not just talented - he should play songs he can manage. If you are going to make mistakes then you are wasting yourself. Brain also record mistakes, and going from there is harder.
@OscarFBM yeah man you are right, what is the purpose of playing a piece you cant handle, it just has no meaning, the problem today is that people in general is so ignorant in the music enviroment, thats the big problem, they just think playing this is awesome, but is not you have to play the right notes, do the dynamics changes, use the pedal and all the expression this epic piece needs to be, as awesome as it is
I honestly cannot believe how talented this little boy is! I don't play piano, (I'm a string player myself) so of course I don't truly know the difficulty of this piece. But, damn! I know it's hard at the very least! Very very nice job, keep practicing and you will be amazing.(:
i played the 1st movement as 7 year old, but now as a 20 year old, i don't have the will or talent if you like, to ever become good enough to play 3rd movement,
its great, yes he does a lot of mistakes there, but we cant judge too harsh, hes really too young, this piece is usually played when finishing music university! so hat down! and keep learning! :)
Well, Briansit0, the number of mistakes may be greater than the number of views. But sadly, you fit under this in-equation:
Number of people who have no life and has to pick on a kid half their age who is just playing piano for our enjoyment > Number of mistakes > Number of views.
just because he can play a piece it doesnt mean hes good
im not hating, i believe he has some talent, but anyone can play a piece if they dont add technique or rythm and add a ton of mistakes. His posture and his shoulders are too tense, and his fingers sound very heavy.
Good job, but just reminding everyone that an excellent pianist can make the most simple songs sound impressive and very artistic.
He's really good, he just lack the dexterity that one gets when one's hands grow, If he keeps playing like this, he could really be something amazing!

playing on the electric piano is okay; however, for a recital or performance like this I would definitely be all out against it; not only are the keys too light, the sound quality deteriorates.

Wow!! Amazing that a 10 year old can achieve that! Keep playing. Of course there will be a few mistakes....one he is probably nervous playing to an audience like that, and his hands will be much smaller than an grown. Fantastic achievement. :)
loupaul1986 4 months ago
Sure, there's definately some mistakes and flaws to the piece. But if you keep in mind his age, and the fact that this is an incredibly difficult song... This is not bad. :P
MaelinaPulse 4 months ago
Technically, he may do very well, but emotionally, he could be feeling nothing at all while playing this. But at 10 years old, that's to be expected.

@thescubadivingzoo Shut up. Seriously, it's an amazing achievement for a ten year old to be able to play something like this even if he is getting some parts wrong. At least he can play most of it right.

this kid is so amazing although he makes mistakes, its understandable since he is only 10 yrs old..i mean like hey, your fingers should be long enough to play this piece...and you are more likely to hurt yourself if you try to do this and youre not that skilled enough...as for the kid,he is totally amazing but i think the reason for his mistakes is because of the tempo and dynamics...for a kid its hard to create really loud tunes in the piano..

about this KID, we must to know how many hours of tranning he had on this music, for to say if he is talent or for to say ,he trainned a lot. (not enough).
But in my opinion ,its good start. I give a 7 for him. (for to try a big step ,he broke his legs sometimes ,but its ok) iThink he can understand what i am saying.
better to wait five years than five minutes to anticipate.

@ssj3mohan dude why did you just write 4 comments about the same exact thing just reworded?
poopmcdoopdoop 4 months ago

My English is not fantastic, but your spelling is atrocious.
njnolan1 4 months ago
@njnolan1 ok no problem ,next time i will use a proper grammar, right?
In few days i will make myself understandable.I am using the right words ,but not on right sequence,This is why you cant understand ,relly sorry,Thank you.
ssj3mohan 4 months ago
@ssj3mohan I don't know your back round in English so I am not judging you. It's just really hard to read. Commas are misplaced and words are omitted. Most of your words are correct, but by omitting words such as it's, but, and and the point you're trying to make gets lost. I'm not great with comma placement either. Keep it up and keep studying. You should do great. Maybe try practicing by reading other people's comments and trying to find the point they are making. That will help too.

I'm sorry but I'm kind of hater. He is talented indeed, but if he really wants to be good - and not just talented - he should play songs he can manage. If you are going to make mistakes then you are wasting yourself. Brain also record mistakes, and going from there is harder.
OscarFBM 5 months ago
@OscarFBM yeah man you are right, what is the purpose of playing a piece you cant handle, it just has no meaning, the problem today is that people in general is so ignorant in the music enviroment, thats the big problem, they just think playing this is awesome, but is not you have to play the right notes, do the dynamics changes, use the pedal and all the expression this epic piece needs to be, as awesome as it is
jaja7414 4 months ago
@OscarFBM This kids ten years old. You're just hatin cause he'll have had more blowjobs by the time he's 20 than you will ever have.

I honestly cannot believe how talented this little boy is! I don't play piano, (I'm a string player myself) so of course I don't truly know the difficulty of this piece. But, damn! I know it's hard at the very least! Very very nice job, keep practicing and you will be amazing.(:

@Mrcleee: Maybe it sounds heavy because he plays on an E-Piano and not on a real piano?
And how could he play it perfect? He's only 10! So stop beefing!
Great job for a ten years old boy.
