  • do you by any chance know of an ears tutorial to go with this topology?

  • @MegaDutcher ya look at his other tuts

  • @cougarmanification cheers!

  • what 3d software is best blender or maya or 3ds max or any other recommended please tell

  • @abdullahmansoor1 I personally like Blenders interface best. It is also free and can be used to produce very competitive results. That said they all have advantages and disadvantages. They are all great programs!

  • I don't know what I'm doing wrong but whenever I extrude I end up with several points copied over the originals.

I didn't know until I wanted to line them up, now I'm stuck with double points and when I try to merge them the topology goes messy.

  • @MegaDutcher If you end up with double points, select the mesh go into the tool panel on your left and click remove doubles.

  • @MegaDutcher I have now added a note in the video explaining how to go throe that step better.

  • @pilgrimtraveler thank you that's gotten rid of them

  • I am having trouble with the mouth section at 2:28. how do you get the lines to extrude in that direction? when i do it they won't move towards the face like yours.

  • @saifcastaneda After pressing E to extrude, you need to release the vertices by clicking your right mouse button. Then you should be able to scale them. I am not sure why the mouse click didn't show up in the video. Hope this helps, and good luck modeling!

  • At 2:25 , whenever I try to extrude and resize the 6 points, I get all sorts of ugliness - 2 plains flipping around, 2 big rectangular solids coming out, or pyramids on the face. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Thanks for a great tutorial.

  • @ApathylovesPS Not sure. I haven't encountered a similar problem before. If you upload a video of your problem I could probably help.

  • This is a very good Tutorial..... Good try..... Keep Up.......

Also please do make a similar video on animal modelling.....

  • @ScriptCenterSL It is a blender add-on that can be enabled in blenders preferences.

  • VERY GOOD and EASY! Thank you very much!

  • @Tonabillity Uhmm.... never mind. Had to check my email - DUH!....

  • Nice , man.

  • why do you sound like a robot?

  • @bobchicken212 This is like the second tutorial I have ever done and talking to a computer takes getting used too. lol

  • @bobchicken212 ...and I LIKE it!!

  • wow u r awesome thanks and keep it up :)

  • how do you get a plane.

  • @anishwij You press [Shift A] and select it in the menu that pops up. That said if you're so new to blender that you don't know basic hot keys and the basics of the interface, you should try something more for beginners. There are a lot of introductory tutorials at cgcookie(dot)com/blender/ Cheers and Good Luck!

  • @pilgrimtraveler Thanks a lot. Im not so new to blender It's just I do not sculpt a lot but amazing tutorial I made my own face with my own pictures I took.

  • They should ue a bald guy for the reference so the hair wont bother your editing

  • or using print screen while watching the video. ;)

  • Thanks. Nice Quick Video. Maximum Major Feature Construction. Minimum Micro Adjustments. I have seen a few videos here about face construction for comparison. This video is an excellent practical no lesson that is quite concise. Direct and to the point. Thanks for excluding too much reference particular adjustments tweaking. I sometimes find it useful when. 1. The model has colored the face loops. 2. The model is shown in 360 spin 3. The poles are discussed.
  • @videofountain

    rather

The model with the vertices is shown in 360.

I did see the finished finished product at the beginning.

  • Excellent tutorial!

  • thanks, you made a very nice tutorial i appreciate it :D

  • Oh damn, this tutorial helps a lot.

  • Now make the ears!

  • Awesome tutorial!!!!

  • love it , thank you , i will use it in 3ds max
