  • Thanks for all the video posts, I just watched the 5 you did, cool stuff. I'm just bought Houses of the Blooded & Aegis Project and finding out about the game designed as a patronage project, which I find pretty cool as well. I'm also happy the Aegis pdf came with an epub file as I just got myself an ereader.

  • what happened to the 6th vid? or the game for that matter?

  • will we see any more santa vaga or is that DOA

  • Good post, keep them coming.

  • as for the "continuity error" If they were white Wolf players they would jut pass it off as either a continuity error or intentional ;)

  • So, when do we get Episode 6?

  • If it's not to late, reconsider the Engineer role. Ask yourself what does the Engineer actually do in the game. If that answer is "Fix the Mech", then Stop. Don't add it. Giving a player a role that lets them do nothing, because everything important has already happened is the bane of Sci-Fi games. Every game that has an Engineer typically does it due to Trope, and not due to Functionality. No one wants to play the Doctor, the Engineer, so on, because they get to sit out of the good stuff.

  • @KensanOni Trust me. I've got that covered.

  • Binary Dice. Really, your d10s that evens are successes is making the d10's into binaries. Ubiquity dice are designed to do binary dice in a unique way that reduces the number of physical dice you need to make up a pool, so that you have a single die that can emulate the result of rolling 3 dice, 2 dice or 1 die (comes in a set of 9 dice, 3 of each of these unique d8s). These are used in Hollow Earth Explorations (Hex) and several other games.

  • @unquietsoul The d10's do more than that.

  • Hunh. I automatically assumed that the Engineer was sometimes a veteran, but more often a specialist. I was looking forward to the non military specialist, a citizen that was involved in building the suits, bouncing around, trying to stay cool under fire, while working on the insides of the mech! (and that is TOTALLY what I want to play. )

  • I think it's okay for some folks to work for years on their RPG, because that's probably just a hobby and they have quite a few other things to do to earn their money for a living. But I see your point (the George Lucas example was great).

  • @Drudenfusz There is the point the other way, sometimes a project isn't ready yet and people make one rush (or deadlines do) and then what comes out has some gaping wholes or problems that never would have happened if things had been delayed for another month for a second (or first) read thru by the editor.

Now working on the same thing for 15 years? That's too long. But I can see the need for the occasional delay for a fix of a problem or an edit pass for a month or two.
