Nope. Asha 303 runs on s40 not symbian. Symbian is a smartphone OS. S40 is a basic firmware.

Depende po kasi sa nagamit... For me malaki kasi daliri ko kaya ng Touch and Type ako... Yung Samsung Galaxy Y eh ok rin naman kaso nahirapan ako sa pagtext (Text Capital Represent: Philippines hehe). Nakita ko features niya through a friend and ok naman siya. May mga pros din and cons ang either phones.

Well, you must test both phones before buying. Yun bang pagkahawak mo ng phone eh alam mong yun ang para sa'yo hehe.

I am getting this error when I try to use the internet on the Asha 303: "check that you have coverage and try again. contact your operator if the problem persists. (006)". I restored my cell and the problem fixed itself, but now it's back. :/

@ishang2126 About 2 phones: galaxy y has a small battery although using android so it may run out quickly. Some ppl said asha lacks of the navigator button but I prefer asha for a 1ghz chip that so far powerful for symbian and the touch screen is cool enough at very good price!

hi! i bought nokia asha 303 yesterday.. with 1 bar... after texting, wifi, playing..it got fully drained last night. so i fully charged it for 2 - 3 hours as said by the sales man. i turned it on and has full 4 bars. however, when i woke up, it has already 3 bars now..is it a battery problem? should i ask for replacement??? please help.. confused here..

@mk3334 Nobody is forcing u to buy one :) Also there is a world outside the US n EU, who cannot afford iphones, droidphones etc. Believe it or not there r many 3rd world countries that dont have wifi/broadband, LTE/4G or even 3G. Rather pointless to have a smartphone those places.

@helmik123 like my country.....pakistan!! no 3g services and the fastest wifi is for about 10000 PKR which is like 15MBPS. the majority of us(including me) have 1 and 2 max 4 MBPS connections!! so this phone is one of the best phones out there for places other than USA and EU!!!! go nokia ASHA!!

@mk3334 I apologize if I have offended you. It wasn't my intention at all and I wasn't trying to look down upon developing countries. My response was short and I was generalizing. I know there's a huge difference between the developing countries GNI and per capita income but still up to 80% of the world's population live for under $10 a day(World Bank Development Indicators '08). Most of that money goes to food and medicine. To try saving up for a $700-$900 smartphone is madness.

And when available it's quite expensive that most can't afford it. Again I know this differs between various countries. Another thing is not everybody needs a smartphone regardless of where they live. Even in developed countries many people have feature phones regardless of the before mentioned issues.
